ESME ( Egyptian Society of Materials Engineers ) The first scientific society oriented to Metallurgical and Materials Engineering students in Egypt.

What is ESME?
-ESME is a student activity and non-profit organization whose primary goal is to fill the gap between the university stage and the labor market and to qualify students for the post-graduation stage.
-ESME was founded in 2009 at the faculty of petroleum and mining engineering, Suez university.
-ESME also has another 2 branches in Cairo and al-Azhar university to help the students of

material Engineering department there. Our Vision: “Co-operated team spreading their effect” (Stronger Together)
-ESME is dedicated to qualifying material engineering students to suffice the job market with professional fresh graduates.
-We take responsibility for building our members’ character by both improving their soft skills and enhance their technical knowledge.
-We are dedicated to simplifying science in general and specifically material science as one of the most important fields participating in technological evolution nowadays.

Eng. Yehia Nasr – Senior Operation Manager of Steel Making at the Flat Steel Plant (EZDK)

with 17+ years of industrial experience in steelmaking operations.

About Eng. Yehia Nasr:

Senior Operation Manager at Ezz Dekheila Steel Company (EZDK).

Over 17 years of experience in steelmaking operations and meltshop management.

Specialized in Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) and Ladle Furnace (LF) operations for both billets and slabs production.

Managed operations of:
• 4 Electric Arc Furnaces (80–160 tons capacity)
• 3 Ladle Furnaces (Silicon & Aluminum killed steel)

Expertise in steel production optimization, consumables reduction, and quality improvement.

Extensive experience in aluminum & calcium injection, wire feeding systems, and refractory management.
