Overview :
Academy of international law studies (AILS) is an academic organization established by a set of experts and young researchers; it works on a regional scale that includes the entire Arab region and is based in the city of Alexandria, Egypt. AILS adopts an approach based on modern trends in international law, with a focus on interrelationship between the areas of human rights, internat
ional criminal justice, and peace studies on the one hand, and the implications on sustainable development, social stability, maintaining peace and security in the region on the other hand. Through its activities and events, AILS addresses the most important and urgent topics in international law and other relevant legal branches and disciplines, in the light of modern concepts and prospective developments. As for approved programs, at the moment, they include: International Criminal Law program, Human Rights Program, Informal Education Program, and Peace Studies Program.
لمحة عامة عن أكاديمية دراسات القانون الدولى :
هي مؤسسة أكاديمية تأخذ طابع الجمعية العلمية ، أنشأت بواسطة مجموعة من الخبراء والباحثين بمجال القانون الدولي و الدراسات المرتبطة به، تعمل على نطاق اقليمى يشمل المنطقة العربية بأسرها تتخذ من مدينة الاسكندرية - مصر - مقرا لها
من خلال أنشطتها و فاعلياتها المختلفة، تقوم الجمعية بتناول الموضوعات الأكثر أهمية في القانون الدولي و غيره من فروع القانون والتخصصات الأخرى ذات الصلة و ذلك فى ضوء المفاهيم المستحدثة و التطور المأمول .
و تتبنى الجمعية مقاربة تستند الى الاتجاهات الحديثة فى القانون الدولى مع التركيز على العلاقات المتداخلة بين مجالات حقوق الانسان، العدالة الدولية و دراسات السلام من ناحية ، و انعكاسات ذلك على تحقيق التنمية المستدامة ، الاستقرار المجتمعى و حفظ السلم . و الأمن فى المنطقة
أما عن البرامج المعتمدة فى الوقت الراهن فهى تشمل : برنامج القانون الدولى الجنائى ، برنامج حقوق الانسان ، برنامج دراسات السلام ، و برنامج التعليم غير الرسمى .
