في اليوم العالمي للشباب 2026، وتحت شعار "سياقات مختلفة.. تطلعات مشتركة"، بنحتفل بالشباب/ات.

ولأننا في مؤسسة شباب المتوسط للتنمية – MYF، بنؤمن إن تمكين الشباب/ات مش شعار، لكنه فرص حقيقية للتعلم، والمشاركة، والتجربة، وصناعة التغيير. على مدار السنوات اللي فاتت، حاولنا نوفر المساحات دي من خلال برامج ومبادرات مختلفة، بدأت من المناخ والبيئة وريادة الأعمال، ووصلت إلى الحوار والتبادل الثقافي والتطوع والتمكين والمشاركة المجتمعية.

من أكاديمية شباب المتوسط، إلى المبادرة المتوسطية للمناخ، ومؤتمر الشباب المحلي لتغير المناخ – مصر، كانت كل محطة فرصة جديدة لشباب/ات يتعلموا، ويشاركوا، ويحولوا أفكارهم/ن إلى خطوات حقيقية.

وفي YERAME، دعمنا ريادة الأعمال الشبابية في المناطق الريفية، بينما أتاحت برامج التبادل الثقافي والتطوع الدولي للشباب فرصة للتعرف على ثقافات وتجارب مختلفة وبناء جسور جديدة.

ومن خلال برامج مثل التعددية الثقافية، المساواة للجميع، سفينة نساء المتوسط، وحوار حول وثيقة الأخوة الإنسانية، وMed-Citizen فتحنا مساحات للحوار والتفاهم، لأن اختلافنا ممكن يكون بداية للتعاون، مش سببًا للابتعاد.

في كل برنامج على الأقل شاب اكتسب مهارة، شابة اكتشفت قدرتها، فكرة تحولت إلى مبادرة، وتجربة فتحت بابًا لفرصة جديدة.

ولسه هدفنا مستمر: نوصل لكل شاب/ة، ونوفر لهم/ن المساحة والأدوات والفرص اللي تساعدهم/ن يكونوا قادة للتغيير الإيجابي في مجتمعاتهم/ن.

International Youth Day 2026: "Diverse Contexts, Shared Aspirations" 🌍✨

On International Youth Day 2026, under the theme "Diverse Contexts, Shared Aspirations," we celebrate youth as the driving force of our present and future.

At MYF, we believe youth empowerment is not merely a slogan, but a continuous journey of offering genuine opportunities for learning, civic engagement, experiential growth, and driving real impact. Over the years, we have strived to create these transformative spaces through diverse programs ranging from climate action and entrepreneurship to intercultural dialogue, volunteering, and community empowerment.

From the Mediterranean Youth Academy and the Mediterranean Climate Initiative to the Local Conference of Youth on Climate Change (LCOY Egypt), every milestone has been a new steppingstone for youth to learn, engage, and turn their ideas into action. Through YERAME, we fostered youth entrepreneurship in rural communities, while our international volunteering and exchange programs allowed young leaders to discover new cultures and build lasting bridges of cross-border cooperation.

Furthermore, through initiatives such as Multiculturalism, Equality for All, the Mediterranean Women’s Ship, Dialogue on the Human Fraternity Document, and Med-Citizen, we opened meaningful spaces for mutual understanding proving that our diversity is the very foundation for collaboration rather than division.

Across every single program, at least one young man acquired a crucial skill, one young woman discovered her potential, an idea blossomed into a community initiative, and an experience unlocked a doorway to new opportunities.

Our mission continues: to reach every youth and equip them with the space, tools, and platforms to lead positive change in their communities.

Research is the very first step in driving impact.

In the MYF Paid Internship 6th Cohort, you will learn how to turn data and information into a voice that resonates.

كيف نضمن أن يكون الشباب/ات والمجتمع المدني جزءًا من صناعة القرار المناخي؟

بدعوة كريمة من سعادة السفير صالح موتلو شن، سفير جمهورية تركيا لدى مصر، شاركت مؤسسة شباب المتوسط للتنمية في المشاورات الوطنية المصرية ضمن Antalya Mediterranean Climate Dialogue، والتي عُقدت تحت عنوان Mediterranean Climate Priorities on the Road to COP31، بتنظيم مشترك من رئاسة COP31 والاتحاد من أجل المتوسط، وبالتعاون مع وزارة التنمية المحلية ووزارة البيئة في جمهورية مصر العربية.

وجمعت المشاورات ممثلين/ات عن الحكومات، والمؤسسات الدولية، ومنظمات المجتمع المدني، لمناقشة الأولويات المناخية المشتركة في منطقة المتوسط، تمهيدًا لطرحها ضمن مسار مؤتمر الأطراف COP31.

وخلال الحوار، أكدت المؤسسة على أهمية تمكين منظمات المجتمع المدني، خاصة المنظمات المحلية والشبابية، من الوصول إلى التمويل المناخي والمشاركة الفاعلة في صناعة القرار وتنفيذ الحلول على أرض الواقع.

ومن أبرز التوصيات التي طرحتها المؤسسة:

تبسيط إجراءات التقديم وإدارة المنح ومتطلبات الإبلاغ بما يتناسب مع قدرات المنظمات المحلية الصغيرة.

إنشاء Mediterranean Small Grants Facility لتوفير منح صغيرة ومرنة تدعم المبادرات المجتمعية ذات الأثر المباشر، وتُعزز وصول المنظمات القاعدية إلى التمويل المناخي.

إطلاق Mediterranean Civil Society and Youth Climate Platform تحت مظلة Antalya Mediterranean Climate Dialogue، لتكون منصة إقليمية دائمة تجمع منظمات المجتمع المدني والشباب، وتدعم التنسيق وبناء الشراكات وتبادل الخبرات، إلى جانب صياغة توصيات ومواقف مشتركة حول قضايا المناخ في منطقة المتوسط.

نؤمن في مؤسسة شباب المتوسط للتنمية أن تحقيق تحول مناخي عادل وشامل في منطقة المتوسط يتطلب أن تكون المجتمعات المحلية والشباب/ات ومنظمات المجتمع المدني شركاء حقيقيين في صناعة الحلول، وليسوا مجرد متلقين لها.

ومن هنا، نواصل العمل من أجل تعزيز صوت الشباب/ات والمجتمع المدني، وفتح مساحات أكبر للمشاركة والتعاون، وبناء شراكات إقليمية قادرة على تحويل الأولويات المناخية إلى سياسات ومبادرات عملية ذات أثر حقيقي.

From the Mediterranean to COP31:

How do we ensure that youth and civil society are integral to climate decision-making? 🌍💡

Upon a gracious invitation from H.E. Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Egypt, the Mediterranean Youth Foundation (MYF) participated in the Egyptian National Consultations within the Antalya Mediterranean Climate Dialogue, held under the theme:

"Mediterranean Climate Priorities on the Road to COP31"

The event was jointly organized by the COP31 Presidency and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Development and the Ministry of Environment of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The consultations brought together representatives from governments, international organizations, and civil society entities to discuss shared climate priorities across the Mediterranean region, paving the way for their inclusion in the COP31 process.

During the dialogue, MYF emphasized the critical importance of empowering civil society organizations particularly local and youth-led initiatives by providing direct access to climate finance and enabling their meaningful participation in decision-making and on-the-ground implementation.

Key Recommendations Put Forward by MYF:

🔹 Streamlining Application, Grant Management, and Reporting Requirements: Tailoring administrative procedures to better suit the capacity and operational structures of small, local organizations.

🔹 Establishing a Mediterranean Small Grants Facility: Providing flexible, small-scale funding mechanisms to support high-impact community initiatives and enhance climate finance access for grassroots organizations.

🔹 Launching the Mediterranean Civil Society and Youth Climate Platform: Creating a permanent regional platform under the umbrella of the Antalya Mediterranean Climate Dialogue. This mechanism will unite civil society and youth organizations to foster coordination, build strategic partnerships, facilitate knowledge exchange, and formulate joint policy positions on Mediterranean climate issues.

At the Mediterranean Youth Foundation, we strongly believe that achieving a just and inclusive climate transition in the Mediterranean region requires local communities, youth, and civil society to be true partners in driving solutions, rather than mere beneficiaries.

Moving forward, we remain committed to amplifying the voices of youth and civil society, creating broader avenues for collaboration, and building regional partnerships that translate climate priorities into practical, impactful policies.

الوادي الجديد تمتلك إمكانيات شمسية هائلة، ومع ذلك تعتمد مجتمعات متباعدة على خطوط كهرباء طويلة تمتد لمئات الكيلومترات.

في الوادي الجديد، الكهرباء أحيانًا لازم تقطع مئات الكيلومترات عشان توصل لبيت واحد. ومع ارتفاع الحرارة والتغير المناخي، أي ضغط أو عطل بسيط ممكن يقطع الخدمة عن مجتمع كامل.

The New Valley possesses immense solar potential, yet scattered communities rely on long power lines stretching for hundreds of kilometers.

In the New Valley, electricity sometimes has to travel hundreds of kilometers just to reach a single home. With rising temperatures and climate change, any slight pressure or minor malfunction can cut off service to an entire community.

وراء كل تجربة تطوعية، قصة تستحق أن تُروى!.



قد لا نستطيع توثيق كل لحظة بالكاميرا، لكن بعض اللحظات تبقى محفوظة في الذاكرة.

تصف مروة تجربتها مع برنامج فيلق التضامن الأوروبي - ESC، بأنها كانت مليئة بالتعلم، والتحديات، واللحظات الملهمة التي ساعدتها على النمو على المستويين الشخصي والمهني.

التطوع منحها مساحة لاكتشاف قدراتها، والعمل ضمن بيئة متعددة الثقافات، والتأكيد على أن الأثر الحقيقي يبدأ عندما نختار أن نكون جزءًا من التغيير.

لأن كل تجربة تطوعية تترك أثرًا ليس فقط في المجتمع، بل في المتطوع نفسه أيضًا.
