Holcim Egypt, one of SwissCham Egypt’s Platinum Partners, has officially transitioned from Lafarge Egypt to Holcim Egypt, marking a new chapter in its longstanding presence in the Egyptian market.

Building on nearly three decades of local experience and Holcim Group’s global expertise, the company is expanding its focus toward sustainable building solutions, including low-carbon products, technical services, and digital solutions. With an asset portfolio exceeding EGP 8 billion in Egypt, Holcim continues to invest in innovation, sustainability, and circular economy practices.

Swiss National Day 2026 | Celebrating Switzerland Together

On 1 August, SwissCham Egypt proudly celebrated Swiss National Day with its Strategic Partner, the Swiss Club in Cairo, bringing together members and friends of the Swiss community in Egypt for a warm and festive gathering celebrating Switzerland’s heritage, shared values, and longstanding ties with Egypt.

The celebration was honored by the presence of Mr. Thomas Baumgartner, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Switzerland in Egypt, alongside Eng. Kamal R. Abdel Malek, President of the Board of SwissCham Egypt, Dr. Omar Shafik, Vice President of the Swiss Club, Ms. Jailan Najy, Communications Officer at SwissCham Egypt, and members of the Swiss Club team.

The occasion provided an opportunity to celebrate the strong connections within the Swiss community in Egypt while reflecting on the enduring friendship and cooperation between Switzerland and Egypt.

SwissCham Egypt is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Egyptian Junior Business Association (EJB), marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration to foster stronger ties between the Swiss and Egyptian business communities.

The MoU was signed on behalf of SwissCham Egypt by Eng. Kamal R. Abdel Malek, President of the Board of SwissCham Egypt, and on behalf of The Egyptian Junior Business Association (EJB) by Mr. Mohamed Abou Basha, Chairman of EJB. The signing was attended by Mr. Khaled Sabry, Board Member of SwissCham Egypt, and Ms. Sarah Al Haddad, Executive Director of SwissCham Egypt and members of both the SwissCham Egypt and EJB associations.

Partner News | Coca-Cola HBC Inaugurates New Digital Hub in Egypt

Coca-Cola HBC Egypt, one of SwissCham Egypt's Bronze Partners, officially inaugurated its new Digital Hub in Egypt, marking a significant milestone in the company's digital transformation journey and reaffirming its long-term commitment to the country's digital economy.

The inauguration was attended by Mr. Zoran Bogdanovic, CEO of Coca-Cola HBC, Ms. Naya Kalogeraki, COO, Mr. Mourad Ajarti, Chief Digital and Technology Officer, Dr. Anastasis Liveretos, PhD, General Manager of the Digital Hub, Mr. Adnan Topic, General Manager of Coca-Cola HBC Egypt, Ms. Rana Gamali, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Director, Coca Cola HBC Egypt and other leaders from the Coca-Cola System.

Alongside with the honorable presence of H.E. Mr. Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, H.E. Mr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, Minister of Investment, Eng. Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of ITIDA, Mr. Mohamed Awad, Chairman GAFI in addition to senior government officials, diplomatic representatives, and industry leaders.

The Digital Hub currently employs 250 Egyptian technology professionals, with plans to expand to 450 employees by 2027, delivering end-to-end digital services across 27 markets in Europe and Africa.

The project is expected to contribute approximately USD 34 million annually to Egypt's digital service exports.

The new hub reflects Egypt's growing position as a regional technology and innovation destination, supported by a highly skilled workforce, a strong digital ecosystem, and an increasingly competitive investment environment.

Partner News | ABB Egypt Showcases Expansion Plans and Industrial Growth Strategy with Minister of Industry

ABB Egypt, one of SwissCham Egypt's Platinum Partners, discussed its expansion plans during a meeting with H.E. Eng. Khaled Hashem, Minister of Industry. The discussions brought together Mr. Ahmed Hammad, Chairman of ABB Egypt, and members of the company's leadership team to review the company's manufacturing capabilities and future investment plans in Egypt.

The discussions highlighted ABB's manufacturing capabilities in Egypt, led by its main production facility in 10th of Ramadan City, its largest manufacturing hub in the Middle East and Africa, alongside its factories in Nasr City and the Suez Free Zone. The company also noted that local content has reached up to 78% in selected products, while its exports now reach more than 60 countries, reinforcing Egypt's position as a regional manufacturing and export hub.

The meeting also explored ABB's initiatives to improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, expand its local supplier network, and participate in the Shams El-Sinaa (Industry Solar Initiative) through rooftop solar installations, supporting Egypt's vision for a more competitive and sustainable industrial sector.
