Partner News | Nestlé Egypt Expands Local Manufacturing and Export Capabilities

SwissCham Egypt congratulates Nestlé Egypt, one of our Platinum Partners, on the inauguration of its new Maggi Double Chopped production line at the company's 6th of October Factory. The milestone was marked during a visit by H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, alongside H.E. Eng. Khaled Hashem, Minister of Industry, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, and Dr. Ahmed El Ansari, Governor of Giza, who were received by Mr. Tarek Kamel, Chairman and Managing Director of Nestlé Egypt, and members of the company's leadership team.

The expansion represents another significant milestone in Nestlé Egypt’s long-standing commitment to the Egyptian market. With investments exceeding EGP 7 billion and support for more than 7,000 direct and indirect jobs, the company continues to strengthen local manufacturing capabilities, develop resilient supply chains, and contribute to Egypt’s industrial growth and food security objectives.

The new production line, with an annual production capacity of 2,000 tons, is expected to support both local demand and export growth, with approximately 50% of its output designated for export markets, particularly across Africa. This development further reinforces Egypt’s position as a strategic manufacturing and export hub serving regional and international markets.

Partner News | Coca-Cola HBC Egypt Expands Production Capacity with New PET Line in Alexandria

SwissCham Egypt congratulates Coca-Cola HBC Egypt, one of our valued Bronze Partners, on the official inauguration of its new PET production line at the Alexandria plant on 7 June 2026.

The inauguration marked a significant milestone in Coca-Cola HBC Egypt’s growth journey. The new production line represents a USD 35 million investment, with a production capacity of 65,000 bottles per hour and more than 33 million cases annually, further strengthening local manufacturing capabilities and supporting Egypt’s industrial development.

The new production line was officially opened by Mr. Zoran Bogdanovic, Coca-Cola HBC CEO, Ms. Naya Kalogeraki, COO, Mr. Luis Felipe Avellar, Africa Operating Unit President of The Coca-Cola Company, Mr. Samer ElHamalawy, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Coca-Cola HBC Egypt, Mr. Adnan Topic, General Manager of Coca-Cola HBC Egypt, Ms. Rana Gamali, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Director, Coca Cola HBC Egypt and other leaders from the Coca-Cola System.

The event was honored by the presence of H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, H.E. Dr. Andreas Baum, Ambassador of Switzerland to Egypt, alongside H.E. Eng.
