As part of the Multi-Sectoral Emergency Response Project for Palestinians Displaced to Egypt, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by Save the Children, comprehensive support continues to be delivered through SCI Child Friendly Spaces. These safe spaces provide integrated Education in Emergencies and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support services, supporting more than 500 Palestinian children aged 4–13 years, along with their caregivers.
Through the Child Friendly Spaces, children and caregivers benefit from structured educational support, life skills development activities, and continuous psychosocial care. These integrated services ensure that children affected by displacement can continue their learning while receiving the emotional and social support they need.
This intervention is delivered through a range of engaging, child-friendly, and interactive activities, designed to create a safe and supportive environment. As one child shared: “I love coming to this center. I met my teachers who used to teach me in Gaza here, and I was so happy to return to studying again.”
Caregivers also expressed the positive impact of the CFSs, with one noting: “Finally, I found a safe place that can take care of my child".
These efforts form part of a sustained approach to provide the necessary support for children and their families to cope with displacement, regain stability, and build resilience for the future.

في إطار مشروع الاستجابة الطارئة متعددة القطاعات للفلسطينيين النازحين إلى مصر، الممول من الوكالة السويسرية للتنمية والتعاون (SDC) والمنفذ من قبل منظمة إنقاذ الطفل، يستمر تقديم الدعم الشامل من خلال المساحات الصديقة للطفل . حيث توفر هذه المساحات الآمنة خدمات متكاملة تشمل التعليم في حالات الطوارئ والدعم النفسي والاجتماعي ، لما يزيد عن 500 من الأطفال الفلسطينيين الذين تتراوح أعمارهم بين 4 و13 عامًا، إلى جانب مقدمي الرعاية لهم.
من خلال هذه المساحات، يستفيد الأطفال ومقدمو الرعاية من تدخلات برامج التعليم، وأنشطة لتنمية المهارات الحياتية، ودعم نفسي اجتماعي مستمر. وتضمن هذه الخدمات المتكاملة استمرار الأطفال المتأثرين بالنزوح في التعلم، مع حصولهم على الدعم العاطفي والاجتماعي اللازم.
يتم تنفيذ هذا التدخل من خلال مجموعة من الأنشطة التفاعلية الجاذبة والمناسبة للأطفال، والتي تساهم في خلق بيئة آمنة وداعمة. وعبّر أحد الأطفال عن تجربته قائلًا:" أنا بحب أجي المركز هنا، أنا شوفت مدرسيني اللي كانوا بيدرسوني في غزة هنا في المركز، وانبسطت جدًا إني رجعت أدرس تاني."
كما عبّر مقدمو الرعاية عن الأثر الإيجابي لهذه المساحات، حيث قالت إحدى الأمهات " اخيرا وجدت المكان الامن الذي يستطيع الاهتمام بطفلي."
تأتي هذه الجهود ضمن نهج مستمر لتقديم الدعم اللازم لمساعدة الأطفال وأسرهم على التكيف مع النزوح، واستعادة الاستقرار، وبناء القدرة على الصمود من أجل المستقبل.

In Greater Cairo, Save the Children continues to strengthen child protection efforts through the Sponsorship Project, led by the Protection component, by engaging both community members and children, especially unaccompanied and separated children (UASC).

Through raising awareness sessions and community mentoring trainings, families and children gained a better understanding of child rights, protection risks, and available services, while also learning how to access complaint mechanisms and seek support when needed.

The mentoring training, delivered by the Protection team in partnership with Hawa El Mostaqbal Association and Misr Bala Marad Association, also created space to build essential life skills, strengthen trust, and promote safer, more inclusive environments.

Through partnerships we aim to build communities where every child is protected, every family is informed, and every voice is heard.

في القاهرة الكبرى، تواصل منظمة إنقاذ الطفل تعزيز جهود حماية الطفل ضمن مشروع الصداقة، من خلال مكون الحماية، عبر العمل مع أفراد المجتمع والأطفال، خاصة الأطفال غير المصطحبين والمنفصلين عن ذويهم.

من خلال جلسات التوعية وتدريبات الإرشاد المجتمعي، اكتسب المشاركون فهمًا أعمق لحقوق الطفل ومفاهيم الحماية والمخاطر، إلى جانب التعرف على آليات الشكاوى وخريطة الخدمات المتاحة وكيفية الوصول إليها.

وقد تم تنفيذ تدريبات الإرشاد المجتمعي من خلال فريق الحماية بالشراكة مع جمعية حواء المستقبل وجمعية مصر بلا مرض، بما يعزز جودة التدخلات وتكامل الخدمات المقدمة للأطفال.
من خلال الشركات الناجحة نبني مجتمعات تحمي كل طفل، وتدعم كل أسرة، وتُسمِع كل صوت.

On 5 May 2026, the RDPP (Regional Development Protection Program/Project) funded by the European Union, welcomed representatives from the European Commission (DG HOME), the Italian Ministry of Interior, and the regional RDPP team for a field monitoring visit.

During the visit, the delegation was briefed on key achievements and ongoing interventions across child protection, livelihoods, MHPSS, and education. They also engaged directly with unaccompanied and separated children, who shared their experiences, challenges, and perspectives on the project’s impact.

The visit further highlighted inspiring success stories from livelihoods alumni, who shared how the project's support enabled them to start their own businesses and encouraged other youth on their journey.

في 5 مايو 2026، استقبل مشروع حماية و تمكين الاطفال غير المصطحبين و المنفصلين عن ذويهم (RDPP)والممول من الاتحاد الاوروبي، ممثلين عن المفوضية الأوروبية (DG HOME)، ووزارة الداخلية الإيطالية، والفريق الإقليمي للبرنامج، في زيارة ميدانية للرصد والمتابعة.

خلال الزيارة، اطّلع الوفد على أبرز إنجازات المشروع وأنشطته في مجالات حماية الطفل وسبل العيش والصحة النفسية والتعليم، كما تفاعلوا بشكل مباشر مع الأطفال غير المصطحبين والمنفصلين عن ذويهم، الذين شاركوا تجاربهم وتحدياتهم وآرائهم حول أثر المشروع.

كما استعرض عدد من خريجي برامج سبل العيش قصص نجاحهم، موضحين كيف ساهم دعم المشروع في تمكينهم من بدء مشروعاتهم الخاصة وإلهام غيرهم من الشباب.

Access to healthcare should never be a privilege, it is a basic human right.

Through the SDC Health Project, funded by the Swiss Embassy and implemented in partnership with the Ibrahim A. Badran Foundation, Save the Children Egypt in Aswan continues to bring essential primary healthcare closer to those who need it most.

Through fixed clinics and mobile medical convoys, the project has been reaching Sudanese refugees and Egyptian host communities since 2025, providing free consultations, treatment, and medication across a wide range of specialties, including ophthalmology, neurology, pediatrics, and dermatology.

Because quality healthcare means more than services, it means dignity, access, and trust. Through strong partnerships and community-centered approaches, we continue working to ensure no one is left behind when it comes to their health.

الوصول إلى الرعاية الصحية ليس رفاهية… بل حق أساسي لكل إنسان.

من خلال مشروع SDC Health، الممول من السفارة السويسرية والمنفَّذ بالشراكة مع مؤسسة إبراهيم بدران، تواصل منظمة إنقاذ الطفل في مصر — مكتب أسوان — تقديم خدمات الرعاية الصحية الأولية لمن هم في أمسّ الحاجة إليها.

عبر العيادات الثابتة والقوافل الطبية المتنقلة، يصل المشروع إلى اللاجئين السودانيين والمجتمع المصري المضيف منذ عام 2025، مقدمًا خدمات الكشف والعلاج والدواء مجانًا في تخصصات متعددة، منها العيون والأعصاب وطب الأطفال والأمراض الجلدية.

لأن الرعاية الصحية الحقيقية لا تعني فقط تقديم الخدمة… بل تعني الكرامة، وسهولة الوصول، والشعور بالأمان. ومن خلال شراكات قوية ونهج يضع المجتمع في قلب الاهتمام، نواصل العمل لضمان ألا يُحرم أحد من حقه في العلاج.

General Mohamed Elwan, Governor of Assiut, welcomed H.E Ulric Shannon, Ambassador of Canada to Egypt, for a fruitful meeting at the Governorate headquarters, accompanied by a delegation from Save the Children Egypt led by Matteo Caprotti, Country Director, alongside Nadia Mohamed, Director of Operations, and Mr. Mohamed Fadaly, Deputy Director of Operations.

The visit comes ahead of the official launch of the Pathways Project, implemented in Assiut and Minya funded by the Government of Canada, aiming to empower girls and women, improve access to public and reproductive health services, and strengthen community awareness and family support for girls’ wellbeing.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Assiut Governorate, the Canadian Embassy, and Save the Children Egypt, reaffirming a shared commitment to creating sustainable impact for communities across Upper Egypt.
