Kitten

Young Hamed and Renad brought their male kitten to our hospital because he has no appetite.
Dr. Hossam examined the cat whilst he explained the procedure to our current Egyptian vet student Aisha. The reduced heart rate and low temperature are a result of the kitten has not been eating.
A cold was diagnosed and fluid as well as medication were provided.
The children will come back tomorrow for their kitten to be checked.

Family

Two jack donkeys were brought in by their family for a check up and deworming.
We always encourage children to take good care of their animals and the use of our sandpit is great for the donkeys wellbeing.

Donkeys love to roll to protect their skin from insects and help groom their coats.
It also feels good!

Please support our British charity hospital by making a donation.

Thank you so much. 💜

Outpatient Clinic

Dr. Hossam examined this returning chestnut filly which has a reparatory infection.
Now that the weather is turning cooler here in Luxor, we see an increase in these conditions. She received her meds to assist in her recovery.
It is disappointing to see that she no longer has her noseband cover on the chain that we gave to her a couple of days ago.
We can only do our best.......

Small Animal Clinic

This poor cat has been hit by a car and arrived as an emergency.
The left back leg has been fractured severely and needed to be amputated by Dr. Hossam.

Cats are very adaptable and manage very well with three legs.
