منذ انشائه فى عام 1968 كان الاتحاد المصرى للغرف السياحية قوة داعمة لتحسين مناخ الأعمال فى مصر ، وقد عزز دوره المتزايد فى المشاركة فى تقدم الدولة بالتأثير الايجابى فى النواحى الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية والبيئية, ضمن الاستراتيجيات القومية للتنمية بشكل عام
ويسعى الاتحاد المصرى للغرف السياحية على تهيئة المناخ المثالى للنهوض بصناعة السياحة بمساعدة الشركات لكى تتوسع فى أعمالها وبتحسين قدرات ومهار
ات القوة العاملة بها للوصول إلى أعلى المستويات الدولية ، وذلك من خلال التعاون الوثيق مع الغرف السياحية الخمس التابعة له ووزارة السياحة، والاتحاد مسئول عن رعاية المصالح المشتركة لكل المؤسسات العاملة فى نطاق صناعة السياحة.
