استقبلت مؤسسة اليمن لرعاية مرضى السرطان والأعمال الخيرية، في مقرها بالقاهرة، الأستاذ منصور الشميري، عضو مجلس أمناء جمعية الشرق الأوسط لدعم مرضى السرطان، في زيارة هدفت إلى تعزيز أوجه التعاون والشراكة الإنسانية بين المؤسستين بما يسهم في خدمة مرضى السرطان اليمنيين.
وكان في استقبال الضيف الاستاذ عبد القوي القيسي، مستشار المؤسسة، والدكتور مطهر الريدة، مدير إدارة العلاقات العامة والإعلام.
وخلال اللقاء، اطّلع الأستاذ منصور الشميري على منظومة الخدمات الصحية والإنسانية والاجتماعية التي تقدمها المؤسسة، والتي تشمل الإيواء والرعاية الصحية والدعم الاجتماعي والنفسي، بما يسهم في التخفيف من معاناة المرضى ومرافقيهم خلال رحلة العلاج.
كما ناقش الجانبان أبرز التحديات التي تواجه المؤسسة، وفي مقدمتها الزيادة المستمرة في أعداد المرضى المترددين على المؤسسة، وتفاقم الأوضاع الصحية في اليمن، الأمر الذي يدفع أعدادًا متزايدة من المرضى إلى السفر خارج البلاد بحثًا عن العلاج، وهو ما يضاعف الحاجة إلى توسيع برامج الدعم والرعاية الإنسانية.
وقد ثمّن المستشار عبد القوي القيسي الدور الإنساني الذي تقوم به مؤسسة الشرق الأوسط لدعم مرضى السرطان، معربًا عن تطلع مؤسسة اليمن لرعاية مرضى السرطان إلى تعزيز التعاون المشترك واستدامة الشراكة بما يخدم البرامج الإنسانية والصحية التي تنفذها المؤسسة في جمهورية مصر العربية.
بدوره، أشاد الأستاذ منصور الشميري بالجهود المتميزة التي تبذلها المؤسسة، وبما لمسه من تطور مهني وتنظيمي في آليات العمل الإنساني والإداري، مؤكدًا أن هذه الزيارة تُعد الثانية له منذ عام 2022م، موضحا حجم التطور الملحوظ في مستوى الخدمات المقدمة للمرضى وجودة الرعاية التي توفرها المؤسسة.

The Yemen Foundation for Cancer Patients Care and Charity welcomed Mr. Mansour Al-Shumairi, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Middle East Association for Cancer Patient Support, at its headquarters in Cairo. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation and humanitarian partnership between the two organizations in a manner that contributes to serving Yemeni cancer patients.
The guest was received by Mr. Abdulqawe Al-Qaisi, Advisor to the Foundation, and Dr. Mutahar Al-Raidah, Director of the Public Relations and Media Department.
During the meeting, Mr. Mansour Al-Shumairi was briefed on the Foundation’s comprehensive range of health, humanitarian, and social services, including accommodation, healthcare, and social and psychological support, all of which help alleviate the suffering of patients and their companions throughout the treatment journey.
The two sides also discussed the key challenges facing the Foundation, foremost among them the continuous increase in the number of patients seeking its services and the deteriorating healthcare situation in Yemen. These circumstances are driving growing numbers of patients to travel abroad in search of treatment, thereby increasing the need to expand humanitarian support and care programs.
Mr. Abdulqawe Al-Qaisi commended the humanitarian role undertaken by the Middle East Association for Cancer Patient Support and expressed the Yemen Foundation’s aspiration to strengthen joint cooperation and ensure the sustainability of the partnership in support of the humanitarian and healthcare programs implemented by the Foundation in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
For his part, Mr. Mansour Al-Shumairi praised the distinguished efforts made by the Foundation and the professional and organizational development he observed in its humanitarian and administrative work mechanisms. He noted that this was his second visit since 2022 and highlighted the significant progress achieved in the quality of services provided to patients and the standard of care delivered by the Foundation.
