Danbury Arts In Action
DAIA is a community arts outreach program that offers support and mentoring for local artists and youth in our area. It is focused on providing opportunities for many people of the community to feel supported, and empower them in a positive environment in order for them to find their creativity and confidence as individuals. The educational programming will offer long-term
, high quality, progressive fine arts training that is delivered with a strengths-based mentoring approach, guiding participants in developing the self awareness, self confidence and self discipline needed to be a healthy and happy person throughout their lives. Other programming will include support for local aspiring and established artists with their growth and accomplishments, through an array of upcoming projects such as the Community Gallery Initiative. Through this and other initiatives, we are working towards filling our shared spaces with beautifully curated art from artists in our own area, who may otherwise not have a means of displaying their works. These much-needed programs will offer so much to many in the community, bringing people together through the appreciation of local art.
