Danbury Arts In Action

DAIA is a community arts outreach program that offers support and mentoring for local artists and youth in our area. It is focused on providing opportunities for many people of the community to feel supported, and empower them in a positive environment in order for them to find their creativity and confidence as individuals. The educational programming will offer long-term

, high quality, progressive fine arts training that is delivered with a strengths-based mentoring approach, guiding participants in developing the self awareness, self confidence and self discipline needed to be a healthy and happy person throughout their lives. Other programming will include support for local aspiring and established artists with their growth and accomplishments, through an array of upcoming projects such as the Community Gallery Initiative. Through this and other initiatives, we are working towards filling our shared spaces with beautifully curated art from artists in our own area, who may otherwise not have a means of displaying their works. These much-needed programs will offer so much to many in the community, bringing people together through the appreciation of local art. Join us for a powerful evening of art, community, and collective resistance. Together, we’ll lift up immigrant voices through music, poetry, and solidarity, and strengthen the bonds that keep our communities safe.

Come experience the power of creativity, connection, and collective resistance — and learn how DUFI is organizing to protect, mobilize, and uplift immigrant families in Greater Danbury.

🍽️ An authentic and delicious Ecuadorian food buffet and full bar will be available for purchase. Support a local immigrant-owned!
🎟️ Each attendee will receive a door prize ticket for a chance to win a gift basket (must be present to win).

💛 All donations will benefit Greater Danbury Area Unites for Immigrants, supporting advocacy and community education work (printing fliers, know-your-rights cards) and helping provide emergency support for families affected by ICE detentions — including bond assistance, legal fees, and basic family needs when the main breadwinner is abducted.
