Community Dental Care - MIU

Community Dental Care - MIU Who are we? We are Community Dental Care (CDC), a student organisation at Misr International University. Our philosophy? Each with different committee roles.

Community dental care (CDC) is a student activity based in MIU since 2015, that aims to spread dental awareness through:
-Self-funded convoys
-Awareness events
-Collaborations with other NGOs Our purpose is to spread dental health awareness by providing free and impartial dental advice, by running educational campaigns and by involving students in community service activities that will help inform

and influence the public. CDC’s philosophy is to empower students to become life-long learners who are competent in providing patient care to a diverse population whether of the same or lower socio-economic status. We seek to prepare a group of recruited members to assume roles in many different health care environments such as public/private schools, orphanages, slums, community health clinics etc. Our goals?
1- To inform the community about the dental problems that individuals might face if oral health care was neglected.
2- To provide guidelines for dealing with dental and systemic problems that might arise.
3- To prepare qualified members for the task via research and sessions.
4- To provide comprehensive, evidence based information to the community.
