United World Foundation For Human and Social development “Touching Lives” United World is an Egyptian foundation recognized by the Ministry of social solidarity and registered under # 6827/2007. It aims at helping the less fortunate in our society by offering tangible and sustainable solution to ease their pain and sufferings. VISION Create a synergy to establish peace and unity among individuals and communities making of all one global human family. OBJECTIVES • Help civil society to take on positive approaches towards the marginalized segments of our society. • Adopt initiatives that aim at improving the quality of life of these groups. • Raise cultural awareness in the youth and adults while shouldering them in their role in social development. • Empower children, helping them reach their full potential in creative thinking and social integration. PROJECTS 1- Children in Danger This project started in March 2007 with the establishment of a weekly club for 150 labor boys and 130 girls, between the ages of 7 and 16 years old. The objective of this project was, first of all, to protect these kids from the dangerous environments that surround them, and to help their integration into society. Our activities included: • Sports and entertainments, field trips and camps. • Cultural seminars through arts and crafts programs. • Educational and illiteracy programs: Health seminars, free healthcare services and meals. 2 -Health companion This project provides training people to be professional health companions for elderly and disabled individuals in need for home health care. This service offers the elderly a chance for a dignified existence and a job opportunities for young people. 3 –“I belong”… The reason we thought of this project was to increase the sense of “belonging” and Pride in the Egyptian culture and to Egypt. The idea promotes a cleaner Egypt, more colorful and environmentally friendly. We encourage Creative people to ignite the deep sense of beauty in the youth, challenging the ugly surroundings with beautiful and expressive murals, in as many places as possible. 4- Puppet Theater The shows target children at younger age, in preschools, Kindergartens and nonprofit organizations. They aim at teaching them strong social behavioral and hygienic values, through puppet stories. --------------------------------------------------------- United World WELCOMES all talents and ideas.
