A tribute to my Godfather

Panther Cheif wrote

I once had a wise mentor, Godfather, a soul I turned to whenever my thoughts grew wild or my dreams wandered deep into strange lands, when problems loomed like a thick forest with no path out.

At the time, I was just setting foot on the trail, eager, wide-eyed, at times reckless, enchanted by the call of the scout’s life.

He, however, was a seasoned traveler on this magical road, with tales and trials worth studying.

I longed to be like him ,a true knight, a leader in the fullest sense of the word.

I would ask,
“Tell me, please, what should I do?”
Or, “Draw me a map to reach my goal.”

Not once did he give a direct answer.
Not once did he say, “Do this,” or “Don’t do that.”
Not once did he hand me a map.

At first, I was frustrated
why hide his wisdom from me?
But he would only smile, or laugh, and begin a conversation, sometimes long, sometimes brief and we would talk and reflect, until I saw with clarity, and found within myself the courage to choose.

Did I always choose rightly? Of course not.
But he never stopped me. He only warned, laying bare the weight of each choice.

And so I walked on,
while he remained behind me ,always.

When I stumbled, he was always there waiting, patient, his familiar smile on his face, his eyes deep with understanding.

We would sit again, and the rich dialogue would begin once more.

In time, I understood, he was not withholding.
He was giving me everything, his wisdom, his love, all while teaching me what it means to be truly free:

to write my own stories,
to shape my path with my own hands.

That was my mentor , Godfather.

Be Prepared to Truly Live Life.

Written by: The Kind Whale.

In a rare moment… after years of endless running behind work, responsibilities, deadlines, and the noise of life, I suddenly found myself stopping… just to breathe. Yes… simply to breathe.

But strangely, that breath did not feel ordinary. As I inhaled the air deeply, I realized that I had been missing something priceless… something I never knew I had lost for so many years.

At that moment, I understood how fast life has become. We wake up only to run… running for work, for money, for the future… then we return exhausted without realizing that our lives themselves are slipping away while we are busy chasing everything else.

We forgot the sky… we forgot the colors of sunset… we forgot the sound of birds in the morning… we forgot how stars once filled the night sky… and even fresh air has become a luxury.

We became trapped inside concrete walls, traffic, screens, pressure, and endless responsibilities until we lost the ability to notice the beauty that God created around us for free.

And suddenly… my memories returned to the days of Scouting.

I remembered the camps… the smell of wood… the sound of the campfire at night… the laughter of friends under the open sky… walking between trees… and the peace we used to feel without even understanding its true value back then. We were living some of the greatest blessings without realizing it.

Scouting was never only about a uniform, a scarf, rules, or formations…

Scouting was a school that taught us how to see real life. It taught us that nature is not just a place… but a spirit.

That a tree is not simply a tree… but life itself. That rivers carry peace.

And that the open sky is often the closest path for a human being to truly reflect on the greatness of God.

As Robert Baden-Powell once said:

“Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you.”

And how true these words are…
Nature never betrays us. It restores our peace, our souls, and the humanity we slowly lose within the noise of modern life.

So today, my message goes to every father and mother:

Please do not deprive your children of real life.

Let them leave the screens behind.

Let them run on real grass instead of virtual worlds.

Let them climb mountains, watch forests, hear birds singing, feel the rain, and discover the incredible beauty that God created for us.

Take them to nature… to camps… to Scouting… because there are lessons no school in the world can teach, but nature can teach them all in one silent moment.

In a world where people are slowly suffocating inside cities, nature remains the last breath that brings us back to ourselves.

Perhaps what we truly need today is not more money, more speed, or more pressure… but a quiet moment on top of a mountain, beneath a clear blue sky, remembering how beautifully God created life.

Be prepared… not only for success or work… but be prepared to truly live life.

⚜️Celebrating One Year of Scout Spirit and Gratitude✨️

Today marks one year of our page, and we celebrate what Scouting has given us.

On my honor, I promise I will always strive to do my best, to do my duty to God and to my country, to help other people, and to keep the Scout Law.

Even as we grow older and life changes, Scouting remains the foundation of our character and success. We owe so much to it for helping us overcome challenges. We thank all who supported us this year, and we pledge to continue spreading Scout values.
