يحتفل العالم في الثامن عشر من شهر إبريل كل عام باليوم العالمي للتراث
حيث يعد التراث كل نتاج مادي أو معنوي أبدعه الإنسان والذي يجب الحفاظ عليه كي تتوارثه الأجيال القادمة، لذا فإن أهمية التراث لا تقتصر على الآثار والبقايا المادية للإنسان ولكن تمتد أيضًا إلى التراث الشفاهي والمتواتر الذي تتناقله الشعوب من جيل إلى جيل عبر الرواية وعبر الخبرات الحياتية المتوارثة حيث تمثل هذه الخبرات تعبيرًا حياً وصادقاً عن هوية الشعوب وثقافاتها المختلفة.
ومن هنا يأتي دور المتحف القومي للحضارة المصرية فأنه لا يعني فقط بعرض الآثار المصرية على مراحلها التاريخية ولكن أيضًا يقوم بالتعريف بالتراث المصري على مختلف مناطقه وثقافاته وعاداته وتقاليده، وذلك عن طريق إقامة المعارض المؤقتة، والورش الحية، والمبادرات المتنوعة، ومختلف الفعاليات الثقافية، والترفيهية مراعيًا كافة أطياف المجتمع والفئات العمرية.
Every year on April 18th, the globe
commemorates World Heritage Day. Heritage encompasses all that is tangible or intangible crafted by humanity, requiring preservation for the benefit of future generations. Thus, the significance of heritage goes beyond mere physical artifacts, extending to the oral and intangible legacies passed down through generations via narratives and life experiences. These inherited experiences serve as vivid and genuine expressions of the identities of peoples and their myriad cultures. Therefore, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization plays a crucial role. Its mission extends beyond merely showcasing Egyptian antiquities throughout history. It also aims to introduce Egyptian heritage and its diverse regions, cultures, customs, and traditions. This is achieved through temporary exhibitions, interactive workshops, diverse initiatives, and cultural and entertainment events tailored to encompass all segments of society and age groups.
