أُنشِئَت ألوان وأوتار في مدينة القاهرة بجمهورية مصر العربية في عام 2005، وهي جمعية غير هادفة للربح تقدم أنشطة فنية وتعليمية غير رسمية وغير تقليدية للأطفال والشباب في المناطق الأكثر احتياجاً. نقدم خدماتنا في مناطق المقطم وعزبة النصر وكفر حمزة بهدف إثراء المستفيدين اجتماعياً وثقافياً، وتأهيلهم لتحقيق إمكاناتهم الكاملة كأفراد يتمتعون بشخصيات أصيلة ومكتملة النضوج، وقادرة على التطوير من نفسها ومن مجتمعاتها.
نشرك المستفيدين في قلب المجتمعات التي نعمل بها في مجموعة من الأنشطة الفنية والثقافية والتعليمية ويتم ذلك داخل مساحات آمنة وداعمة لهم. ومنذ بدء عمل الجمعية، استخدمنا الفنون البصرية والأدائية بشكل رئيسي في التعلم ولتعزيز الإبداع عند الأطفال، وهو ما تبلور لاحقاً فيما يسمى "برنامج الفنون". طورت ألوان وأوتار على مر السنوات خمسة برامج إضافية وذلك لتلبية الاحتياجات الناشئة للمستفيدين، وهم: المكتبة المجتمعية، وبرنامج نعيش ونتعلم، وركن الطفل (المونتسوري)، وبرنامج الشباب، وبرنامج الدعم النفسي والاجتماعي. لدينا أيضاً وحدة للبرامج الخارجية وهي تقدم خدمات استشارية لكيانات تعليمية وتنموية وشركات متنوعة. وقد أثرت ألوان وأوتار خلال 14 عاماً من العمل فيما يكثر عن 6650 من الأطفال والشباب، و200 من الأمهات و500 من المتطوعين.
Established in 2005, Alwan wa Awtar (A&A) is a non-governmental organization based in Cairo, Egypt that offers artistic and non-formal educational activities to children and youth in different urban and rural community setting. Operating in Mokattam, Ezbet El Nasr and Kafr Hamza, we aim to enrich our beneficiaries' social and cultural wellbeing as well as awaken them to their full potential as genuine, well-rounded individuals, who actively contribute in the development of themselves and their communities.
In our community-based safe and supportive learning spaces, we engage our beneficiaries in an array of artistic, cultural and educational activities. The use of visual and performing arts to enhance children's creativity has been our principal learning activity since the inception of A&A, subsequently developing into the Arts Program. Throughout the years, A&A has developed five additional programs to cater to the emerging needs of its expanding pool of beneficiaries: the Community Library, the Live and Learn Program, the Montessori Child Corner, the Youth Program and the Psychosocial Support Program. We also operate the External Unit which offers consultancy services to diverse educational, developmental and corporate entities. Throughout its 14 years of operation, A&A has worked with 6650 children and youth, 200 mothers and more than 500 volunteers.
