Summary of the Position:
The Senior Case Worker will assume responsibility for working with community stakeholders in targeted areas to plan and implement project activities. Under the supervision of the CP Officer, he/she will coordinate activities and communications between the project management and the Case workers. He/she will be responsible for coordinating project activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance with Caritas and UNICEF, manage events' agendas, and ensure the establishment and continuation of psychological support services intervention in the hubs. The Senior Case Worker will provide mentoring, supervision, and support to the team in addition to holding complex cases.
Responsibilities:
Regularly meet with stakeholders in project areas to plan, coordinate and supervise the
implementation of the project, according to the Project Description.
Coordinate project activities with other team members to deliver services in designated
areas, as required by project management.
Provide support and case management services to children and young people in an effort
to achieve the desired outcomes in the context of their individual needs/case plans.
Provide case management services to complex cases
Applying Child Protection system and safeguarding measures and supporting PSS
activities towards a "Safe Environment" hosting child-friendly activities through
providing capacity building programs, refreshment training, and providing needed tools
and materials in cooperation with Caritas offices.
Carry out daily monitoring field visits to follow up on the implementation of specialized
services.
Support the development and implementation of case plans, including statutory case
plans as required.
Facilitate referrals to access appropriate support services where required
Reorganize and automate data processing to ensure that beneficiaries’ information is
obtained correctly and filed properly.
Assist stakeholders to resolve challenges that may arise in the ex*****on of the project.
Provide regular updates on the performance of the hubs and monthly reports to Project
Management.
Contribute to technical and financial reports of the Project.
Develop good working relations with all team members; exchange information and
experience.
Facilitate regular care team meetings and ensure the child and/or young person’s needs
and views are well represented in these forums.
Deliver case management services that meet all relevant performance and outcome
indicators
Other duties as assigned by the CP Officer or Project Manager and within the scope of
general responsibilities.
Qualifications, Education & Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, business administration, or related
area of studies.
At least three years of experience in the development field.
Excellent English and Arabic skills.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Able to handle several tasks simultaneously.
Organizational skills: attentive to details.
Excellent organization and planning skills.
Committed to problem-solving and achieving program success.
Able to prioritize work, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
Diplomacy, tact, and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision.
