Mostafa Attia is leading a quiet but powerful movement at Mansoura University in Egypt. As Campus Director, he introduced hundreds of students to the idea that nurturing simple ideas can grow into businesses that change lives.
“Entrepreneurship is still new in my community,” he explains, “but it’s gaining momentum. The university is helping with free workshops, professional training, and chances to connect with real companies.”
Despite limited resources, Mostafa launched a full program by partnering with sponsors, recruiting student coordinators in every college, and mentoring over 100 registered startup teams.
“In Egypt, many students are unsure how to adapt to the job market,” he says. “Hult Prize gives them a chance to build their own future, instead of waiting for opportunity.”
One of the moments of the competition that moved him most was a startup called Nabra, an app designed for people with hearing disabilities. “The founder’s father had passed away, and he built this in his memory. It made people in the audience cry,” Mostafa says. “That’s the kind of impact I believe in.”
Mostafa’s journey as Campus Director taught him how to lead with humility, work under pressure, and inspire others to act.
“I’ve learned to lead with heart, work under pressure, and support others to turn their ideas into something real.”
“To me, Hult Prize is the gate to my dreams.”
