◀️ محتوي التدريب:
1- Drug formulation in industry:
This module will provide a comprehensive overview of the crucial processes involved in developing and scaling up pharmaceutical formulations. The attendees will get a glimpse of the nature of the work assigned to formulators in the R&D department and the potential concepts that might be discussed during the interviews for this job. Participants will then delve into the fundamentals of formulation development, covering topics such as preformulation studies, excipient selection, and compatibility assessments from a practical aspect. In addition, the course will outline the critical processes involved in the formulation and scaling up activities within the R&D department of pharmaceutical companies with focus on the Egyptian companies. Through interactive discussions and case studies, participants will gain valuable insights and a deeper understanding of the role of R&D formulator, thus enhancing their potential for a future role in the pharmaceutical R&D landscape.
2- Quality control and quality assurance (QC/QA)
This module tackles the principles of quality control and quality assurance in the pharmaceutical industry. Participants will have the chance to gain hands-on knowledge regarding regulatory compliance and quality control protocols, encompassing various subjects such as an overview of quality control in the pharmaceutical industry, analytical techniques, and instrumentation. Upon completion of the module, participants will have acquired the requisite skills and information to flourish in quality control roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
3- Drug design and computational structural biology.
This module will introduce the participants to real life case studies where principles of drug design are applied and integrated to design potential drugs. Applications related to the design of selective inhibitors against closely related isozyme will be introduced. In addition, high tech advances in the field will be presented including most recent uses of virtual reality (VR) applications in the field of drug design using Meta oculus Quest 2 VR glasses. Beside the theoretical section, the participants will go through a practical session to apply these concepts.
4- Molecular biology
In this module, we will delve into the pivotal role of biochemistry and molecular biology in the dynamic landscape of pharmaceutical Research and Development. This comprehensive session will unravel the fundamental principles of biochemistry, molecular biology techniques commonly used in R&D in pharmaceutical companies that are essential for drug discovery such as cloning, PCR, protein structure-function relationships essential for drug discovery and development.
