Celebrating Us is all about acknowledging the amazing work that JLS 2022 alumni have done through their 100 Girls Projects! So, we would like to use this space to highlight some of the amazing young leaders, their projects and the impact they’ve had in their communities.
Today we celebrate Yasmin Sayed, member of the Egyptian Girl Guides Association - جمعية المرشدات المركزية المصرية, for her project: “Tech Guides”. She has impacted 120 girls in her community, using the tools and methods of global technological development and empowering them with Microsoft 365 programs.
This is how she describes her project:
Given the technological development that the world is currently heading towards, it's important to empower girls to thrive in this tech-driven era. I was inspired after attending Juliette Low's Seminar, where I learned about the Leadership Model and six mindsets. These concepts are important in enhancing the role of the girl, empowering her, and liberating her from all the barriers and obstacles that surround her.”
