Our Girls’ Health Training of Trainers (TOT) Program facilitated by Dr/Miss Faiza Nano that empowers girls with the knowledge, confidence, and leadership skills they need to thrive and to lead. This initiative focuses on:
- Self-awareness and personal growth
- Comprehensive girls’ health education
- Leadership development in communication and decision-making for a duration of Two months with a weekly session.
Through interactive discussions, guided lectures, educational trips, and practical hands-on sessions including creating handmade learning materials participants not only gained knowledge but also developed the skills to become peer educators and mentors. The training was concluded with giving of Certificates of Completion and support packages to the 6 girls representative of various schools by The Founder of KIM Dr.kim John and General Secretary of Kush Medical Institute in Cairo Dr. Philip whom we are so much grateful to for their support and dedication they have towards girl's education.
As a next step, our trained participants are establishing Girls’ Clubs in schools, where they will continue learning, mentoring, and supporting other girls in a safe and empowering environment.

Junub Voluntary Services (JVS) is proud to have it's Educational program Blossom Learning Center participated in the UNHCR Egypt and Catholic Relief Services on Teachers’ Training, delivered by Dr. Mustafa Kamel Basha, which commenced on Monday, 26/01/2026 and successfully concluded on 03/02/2026.
Through its Educational Programs, JVS values this important opportunity to strengthen teaching competencies, promote child-centered learning, and enhance the quality of education services provided to refugee and host communities. We extend our sincere appreciation to UNICEF, CRS, and Dr. Mustafa Kamel Basha for their dedication to empowering educators and supporting sustainable education development.

Between Junub Voluntary Services (JVS) and Kush Medical Institute (KMI)

Today the 7th/September/2025, Junub Voluntary Services (JVS) is delighted to officially announce the successful signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kush Medical Institute (KMI).
This partnership marks a significant milestone in JVS’s long-standing vision of empowering communities through health education and professional development. Through this collaboration, both institutions will work together to provide certified training programs in:

1.Nursing
2. Public Health
3. Massage Therapy

The signed MoU opens the way for community members—especially youth and women to access quality and affordable health training that leads to recognized certification, employability, and practical service to society.
This initiative represents a new chapter in JVS’s mission to build healthier and more self-reliant communities through education and skills empowerment. Together with Kush Medical Institute, we are creating opportunities that bridge education and service delivery in the healthcare sector.

A New Hope for Refugee Children in Maadi – Cairo

At Junub Service for Community Development, we believe every child deserves the chance to learn, dream, and succeed, no matter their background or struggles.

Today, we are excited to share a life-changing partnership with Blossom Learning Center. Through this collaboration, Junub Service will bring our educational programs to Blossom’s classrooms and provide educational grants to help refugee families give their children a brighter future.

What This Means for Families:
Children in Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2 can now enroll at Blossom Learning Center with only half of the yearly school fees, thanks to our grant support.

How We Choose Beneficiaries:
We will carry out a case study to understand each applicant’s situation within the refugee community in Maadi–Cairo, ensuring the grant reaches those who need it most.

To Apply, You Must:
✅ Live in Cairo–Maadi
✅ Be a registered refugee with a UNHCR ID
✅ Have a child in Kindergarten, Grade 1, or Grade 2

EmpowerHer Initiative: Breaking Barriers for Girls' Education and Well-being

At Junub Service for Community Development, we believe that every girl deserves to learn, grow, and thrive without barriers. Through our EmpowerHer Initiative on Menstrual Health, we are creating safe spaces for open dialogue, awareness, and education—ensuring that no girl is left behind due to menstrual stigma or lack of hygiene support.

During our dialogue workshop training, we covered key topics that empower and educate:

✅ Menstrual Health & Hygiene Management – Understanding menstruation, proper hygiene practices, and the safe use of sanitary materials.

✅ Breaking the Stigma – Addressing myths, misconceptions, and cultural taboos surrounding menstruation.

✅ Healthy Practices & Self-Care – Encouraging nutritious diets, personal hygiene, and emotional well-being during menstruation.

✅ Menstrual Product Accessibility & Sustainability – Exploring affordable, reusable, and eco-friendly menstrual hygiene options.

✅ Girls' Education & Rights – Advocating for school-friendly policies that ensure girls stay in school during their periods.
