ors & Medical Equipment, PCR, Rapid Test and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), in collaboration with Global Health Institutes, Vaccine Alliances, African Health Organization in support and coordination with African countries led by Ministries of Health, Ministries of Defense, Covid-19 / Emergency Response Committees and Procurement Authorities. Egyptian African Union Covid-19 Fund & Procurement Committee (EAU-CFPC), brings together African nations and developing countries, Health organizations, Development Banks, the vaccine industry in industrialized countries, research and technical agencies, civil societies, Foundations, and philanthropists. Egyptian African Union Covid-19 Fund & Procurement Committee (EAU-CFPC) initiative began in March 2020 by Egypt and the African countries as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. (EAU-CFPC) aims to coordinate international resources to enable the equitable access of COVID-19 diagnostics, treatments, and COVID-19 vaccines to support the immunization and vaccination of citizens in Egypt and African Union, giving it power to negotiate better prices for Africa's developed and poorest countries and remove the commercial risks that manufacturers faced in serving this market. It also provides funding to strengthen health systems and train health workers across the developing world.
