تأسس مركز رع للدراسات في يناير ٢٠٢١، كمركز تنويري، اسمه من الحضارة المصرية القديمة، وما يمثله الإله "رع" من الضوء والضياء، قاصداً أن يكون المركز منصة فكرية تنويرية، تطرح الحلول والبدائل لصناع القرار في مصر والدول العربية، ساعياً إلى رصد وتحليل التحولات والتغيرات الكبرى في العالم وفي الإقاليم الجغرافية المهمة، وبخاصة الشرق الأوسط، ومحاولة استشراف تأثير هذه التحولات مستقبلاً، وتأثيرها على المنطقة.
