On this day each year, we stand in respect and pride to honor the sacrifices of brave men who wrote eternal pages in our nation’s history with their blood. They believed that defending the homeland is an honor, and protecting the land is a duty that stands above everything else.

The name of the 𝑮𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒆𝒏 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒊𝒆𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑨𝒃𝒅𝒆𝒍 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒊𝒎 𝑹𝒊𝒂𝒅 remains a lasting symbol of true leadership. He was not a commander who issued orders from behind, but a leader who stood at the front lines among his soldiers, sharing their risks and inspiring them with courage and deep faith in the homeland.

He embodied the true meaning of leadership when he was martyred on 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 9, 1969, on the battlefront during the 𝑾𝒂𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝒕𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 while personally observing the progress of the battle among the heroes of the armed forces. Since that day, 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 9 has been commemorated as 𝑬𝒈𝒚𝒑𝒕’𝒔 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒚𝒓𝒔’ 𝑫𝒂𝒚, honoring his legacy and the sacrifices of all those who gave their lives for Egypt.

Martyrs’ Day is not just a remembrance; it is a renewed message to every generation that our nation was built on great sacrifices, and that the blood of martyrs will always remain a light guiding the path of the future.

On 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 – 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟖, we recall one of the most important moments in the history of Egyptian women. On 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟑, 𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟔, Egyptian women gained, for the first time, the right to register in the electoral rolls and to run for parliamentary councils under the 𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟔 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. This decision opened the door to their participation in political life and decision-making.

The 𝟏𝟗𝟔𝟐 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 later reaffirmed this vision, emphasizing the need for equality between women and men and for removing the barriers that hinder women’s active participation in building society.
