كواليس انتخابات مجلس الأمن.. إخفاق ألماني لافت وصعود دول جديدة!
شهدت أروقة الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة مفاجآت بارزة في جولة الانتخابات الأخيرة لاختيار الأعضاء غير الدائمين بمجلس الأمن الدولي للفترة (2027-2028).
📊 خريطة المقاعد الجديدة والنتائج:
مجموعة أوروبا الغربية ودول أخرى: نجحت كل من البرتغال (134 صوتاً) والنمسا (131 صوتاً) في الفوز بالمقعدين، بينما منيت ألمانيا بخسارة غير متوقعة بحصولها على 104 أصوات فقط، وهي المرة الأولى في تاريخها التي تفشل فيها بالحصول على المقعد عند الترشح.
مجموعة آسيا والمحيط الهادي: انتزعت قرغيزستان المقعد لأول مرة في تاريخها بـ 142 صوتاً، بعد معركة انتخابية شرسة امتدت لـ 4 جولات تصويت أمام الفلبين التي خرجت من السباق بـ 49 صوتاً.
المقاعد الإقليمية الأخرى: حسمت زيمبابوي مقعد مجموعة أفريقيا، وفازت ترينيداد وتوباغو بمقعد أمريكا اللاتينية والكاريبي بالتزكية.
🔄 هيكل المجلس القادم:
الخمسة الكبار الفائزين سيحلون محل (الدنمارك، اليونان، باكستان، بنما، والصومال) بنهاية العام الجاري، لينضموا إلى الأعضاء الخمسة المستمرين (البحرين، كولومبيا، الكونغو الديمقراطية، لاتفيا، وليبيريا) بالإضافة إلى الدول الخمس دائمة العضوية.

The corridors of the United Nations General Assembly witnessed remarkable surprises during the recent round of elections to select non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for the (2027-2028) term.
📊 The New Seats Map & Results:
Western European and Others Group (WEOG): Portugal (134 votes) and Austria (131 votes) successfully secured the two vacant seats. Meanwhile, Germany suffered an unexpected defeat, garnering only 104 votes—marking the first time in its history that the German government has failed to secure this seat upon candidacy.
Asia and the Pacific Group: Kyrgyzstan clinched the seat for the first time in its history with 142 votes, following a fierce electoral battle that extended over 4 rounds of voting against the Philippines, which exited the race with 49 votes.
Other Regional Seats: Zimbabwe secured the African group seat, while Trinidad and Tobago won the Latin American and Caribbean seat by acclamation.
🔄 The Upcoming Council Structure:
The five newly elected nations will replace Denmark, Greece, Pakistan, Panama, and Somalia by the end of this year. They will join the five ongoing non-permanent members (Bahrain, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Latvia, and Liberia), alongside the five permanent members.
