As another wonderful Lions Clubs International Convention comes to an end in Hong Kong—one that I was unfortunately unable to attend due to work commitments—I couldn’t think of a better way to begin this Lionistic year than by congratulating our newly elected Lions International President Mark Lyon
Let me share a story.
I first met IP Mark in July 2019 during the Board Orientation Meeting in Milan, after I was appointed as the Leo-Lion Board Liaison. Just a month later, I had the privilege of being assigned to him as my board mentor for my year of service.
From that day until now, IP Mark has continuously offered his guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support—not only throughout my journey in Lions, but also in my personal life. Over the years, our relationship has grown far beyond Lions, and I have been equally fortunate to get to know his wonderful wife, Lion Lyn Lion, whose kindness and friendship have meant so much.
I truly cannot express how fortunate Lions Clubs International is to have Mark as our International President this year. On a personal level, I couldn’t be happier or prouder to see my mentor take on this incredible responsibility. I know his leadership, humility, and passion for service will inspire Lions and Leos around the world.
Congratulations, dear IP Mark! Wishing you and Lion Lyn a remarkable year ahead.
