MCID is proud to announce that one of our past visitors, Waguih El Laqany has been selected as an Impact Award recipient for the second time for his project, Deaf Animation Workshop. This project works to teach deaf children the fundamentals of animation. Working in Egypt, Waguih is a cultural manager, film programmer, curator, producer and actor and works to make cinema accessible to marginalized communities. Waguih was a participant of the Project Promoting Change Through the Social Arts which MCID hosted in 2022. His group traveled to: Colorado Springs, CO, Washington, DC and, New York City, NY. MCID is extremely proud of Waguih’s work in his community and is looking forward to all the great initiatives he will continue to work on.

مع اقتراب عام ٢٠٢٥، تستعد 'سينما في كل مكان' و 'فن في كل مكان' لانطلاقة جديدة تجمع بين الإبداع والإلهام والتأثير.
نسعى هذا العام لتحقيق رؤيتنا لمستقبل سينمائي أكثر إشراقًا وحيوية، نجدد التزامنا من خلال مشروعاتنا الراسخة بنشر وتعزيز الثقافة السينمائية، والوصول بالسينما المستقلة والمجتمعية إلى الجماهير من الشباب والنساء والأطفال وأصحاب الإعاقات في مختلف مدن وقرى وأحياء مصر.
كما نستعد في هذا العام الجديد لإطلاق مشروعات ومبادرات سينمائية مبتكرة تهدف إلى تلبية تطلعات صناع السينما، وتفتح آفاقًا جديدة أمام الجمهور، وتسهم في بناء شراكات قوية ومثمرة
مع شركائنا وداعمينا.

As 2025 approaches, Cinema Everywhere and Art Everywhere Art Everywhere فن في كل مكان are gearing up for a new launch combining creativity, inspiration, and impact.

For the coming year, we seek to achieve our vision for a brighter and more vibrant cinematic future. Through our established projects, we reaffirm our commitment to spreading and promoting cinematic culture and bringing independent and community cinema to audiences of youth, women, children, and people with disabilities across the various cities, villages, and neighborhoods of Egypt.

Going forward, we are prepared to launch creative cinematic projects and initiatives that aim to meet the expectations of filmmakers, open new horizons for the audiences, and contribute to building strong and fruitful partnerships with our collaborators and supporters.

We are delighted to invite you all to join us on this journey, as we hope for the year ahead to be a year full of passion and innovation.
