استقبلت جمعية الآثار بالإسكندرية سعادة سفير جمهورية اليونان بالقاهرة، السيد/ نيكولاوس باباجيورجيو، في زيارة ودية إلى مقر الجمعية، وذلك في إطار تعزيز أواصر التعاون الثقافي.

أعرب سعادة السفير عن سعادته بزيارة مقر الجمعية، مشيدًا بالدور الرائد الذي تقوم به الجمعية في خدمة التراث والآثار ونشر المعرفة التاريخية والثقافية، فيما أكدت إدارة الجمعية حرصها على توطيد جسور التعاون والتواصل مع مختلف المؤسسات والهيئات الثقافية الدولية.

The Archaeological Society of Alexandria welcomed H.E. Mr. Nikolaos Papageorgiou, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic in Cairo, on a visit to the Society’s premises as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cultural cooperation and mutual understanding.

During the visit, His Excellency expressed his pleasure at visiting the Society and commended its pioneering role in preserving cultural heritage and archaeology, as well as promoting historical and cultural knowledge. In turn, the Society’s administration reaffirmed its commitment to fostering cooperation and maintaining strong ties with various international cultural institutions and organizations.

In cooperation with the Zahi Hawass Foundation for Antiquities and Heritage, the Archaeological Society of Alexandria organizes an Arabic lecture entitled:

“Queens, Princesses, and Ladies of the Mohamed Ali Dynasty: Archaeological Landmarks and Timeless Artifacts”

"فهرسة وتصنيف المخطوطات العربية" التي نظمتها الجمعية ضمن البرنامج الثقافي (موسم فبراير - مايو ٢٠٢٦) لمدة خمس أيام : ٢٥ حتى ٢٩ أبريل، متمنيين للجميع كامل التوفيق والسداد.

The Archaeological Society of Alexandria extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to the participants in the training course entitled: "Cataloging and Classifying Arabic Manuscripts", which was organized by the Society as part of the cultural program (February - May 2026 season) for five days: April 25 to 29. The Society wishes everyone success and good fortune.

لقطات من تكريم جمعية الآثار بالإسكندرية برئاسة الأستاذة الدكتورة/ منى حجاج للفنانين المشاركين في المعرض المقام بمقر الجمعية على هامش احتفالية عيد تأسيس مدينة الإسكندرية بعنوان: "الإسكندرية: مولد مدينة عالمية"، التي نُظمت يوم الجمعة ٢٤ أبريل ٢٠٢٦ تحت رعاية محافظة الإسكندرية، وبمشاركة وتنظيم كلٍ من مكتبة الإسكندرية وجمعية الآثار بالإسكندرية، والسفارة اليونانية بالقاهرة، والقنصلية العامة لليونان بالإسكندرية، والمركز الهلّيني لأبحاث الحضارة السكندرية، والجمعية اليونانية بالإسكندرية.

يرجى العلم ان المعرض مستمر حتى ٢٤ مايو ٢٠٢٦ بمقر جمعية الآثار بالإسكندرية.، يومياً من الساعة ٥ حتى ٧ م، ماعدا الجمعة والسبت والأجازات الرسمية.

Highlights from the honoring, organized by the Archaeological Society of Alexandria chaired by Prof. Dr. Mona Haggag, recognizing the artists participating in the exhibition held at the Society’s headquarters on the sidelines of the celebration marking the founding anniversary of the city of Alexandria, titled: “Alexandria: The Birth of a Cosmopolis".

The event was held on Friday, April 24, 2026, under the patronage of the Alexandria Governorate, and with the participation and organization of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Archaeological Society of Alexandria, the Embassy of Greece in Cairo, the Consulate General of Greece in Alexandria, the Hellenic Center for Alexandrian Civilization Studies, and the Greek Community in Alexandria.

Please note that the exhibition will continue until May 24, 2026, at the Society's headquarters, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, except on Fridays, Saturdays, and official holidays.
