في إطار تعزيز الوعي بأهمية الاستفادة الآمنة والمستدامة من المخلفات الزراعية، وبناء قدرات المزارعين والمزارعات على تبني حلول عملية تدعم الاقتصاد الدائري، نفذت جمعية اتجاه للتأهيل والدمج المجتمعي تدريبًا متخصصًا حول إنتاج العلف الحيواني من المتبقيات الزراعية، وذلك ضمن أنشطة مشروع EU Green / البرنامج الوطني لإدارة المخلفات الصلبة، بمقر مشروع إعادة تدوير قش الأرز لإنتاج المشروم المحاري والعلف الحيواني بمحافظة كفر الشيخ، واستهدف التدريب 50 مستفيدًا ومستفيدة من المزارعين والمزارعات.

قدّم المادة العلمية والتطبيقية للتدريب أ.د. سيد بلال، استشاري المشروع، ومستشار رئيس الجامعة لشؤون الابتكار وريادة الأعمال، ووكيل كلية الزراعة لشؤون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، حيث تناول التدريب الجوانب الفنية والعملية المرتبطة بتعظيم الاستفادة من المتبقيات الزراعية بصورة آمنة ومستدامة.

ركز التدريب على تعريف المشاركين والمشاركات بأهمية الاستفادة من قش الأرز والمتبقيات الناتجة عن عمليات الإنتاج، وإمكانية تحويلها إلى مدخلات ذات قيمة في إنتاج العلف الحيواني، بما يساهم في تقليل الهدر، والحد من التخلص غير الآمن من المخلفات الزراعية.

كما تناول التدريب المبادئ الأساسية لإنتاج العلف الحيواني، وأهمية المعالجة الآمنة للمتبقيات قبل استخدامها، مع التأكيد على تطبيق الممارسات السليمة التي تراعي الجوانب البيئية والصحية، وتدعم حلول الاقتصاد الدائري داخل المجتمع المحلي.

ويأتي هذا التدريب بهدف رفع وعي وقدرات المزارعين والمزارعات على تبني ممارسات عملية للاستفادة من المخلفات الزراعية، وتحويلها من عبء بيئي إلى مورد قابل للاستخدام، بما يدعم حماية البيئة، ويعزز فرص الإنتاج المستدام بمحافظة كفر الشيخ.

تنفذ مؤسسة اتجاه والوكالة الألمانية للتعاون الدولي (جي اي زد) مصر هذا التدريب من خلال مشروع "EU Green / البرنامج الوطني لإدارة المخلفات الصلبة"، المُنفذ نيابةً عن الاتحاد الأوروبي والحكومة الألمانية، بالتعاون مع وزارة التنمية المحلية والبيئة.

In the framework of raising awareness about the importance of the safe and sustainable utilization of agricultural residues, and building the capacities of male and female farmers to adopt practical solutions that support the circular economy, Direction Association for Rehabilitation and Community Integration implemented a specialized training on animal feed production from agricultural residues, within the activities of the EU Green / National Solid Waste Management Programme, at the premises of the project “Recycling Rice Straw to Produce Oyster Mushrooms and Animal Feed in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate.” The training targeted 50 male and female beneficiaries from farmers.

Prof. Dr. Sayed Belal, Project Consultant, Advisor to the University President for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Affairs, and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, delivered the scientific and practical training content. The training addressed the technical and practical aspects related to maximizing the safe and sustainable utilization of agricultural residues.

The training focused on introducing participants to the importance of utilizing rice straw and residues resulting from production processes, and the possibility of transforming them into valuable inputs for animal feed production, contributing to reducing waste and limiting the unsafe disposal of agricultural residues.

The training also covered the basic principles of animal feed production and the importance of safe treatment of residues before use, while emphasizing the application of proper practices that consider environmental and health aspects and support circular economy solutions within the local community.

This training aims to raise the awareness and capacities of male and female farmers to adopt practical practices for utilizing agricultural residues and transforming them from an environmental burden into a usable resource, supporting environmental protection and enhancing opportunities for sustainable production in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate.

Etijah and GIZ Egypt are implementing this training through the “EU Green / National Solid Waste Management Programme”, implemented on behalf of the European Union and the German Government, in partnership with the Ministry of Local Development and Environment.

في إطار تعزيز الوعي بأهمية الاستفادة الآمنة والمستدامة من المخلفات الزراعية، وبناء القدرات الفنية للكوادر العاملة داخل المشروع، نفذت جمعية اتجاه للتأهيل والدمج المجتمعي تدريبًا فنيًا متخصصًا لعدد 2 من فنيي المعمل، وذلك ضمن أنشطة مشروع EU Green / البرنامج الوطني لإدارة المخلفات الصلبة، بمقر مشروع إعادة تدوير قش الأرز لإنتاج المشروم المحاري والعلف الحيواني بمحافظة كفر الشيخ، واستمر التدريب لمدة 3 أيام.

قدّم التدريب أ.د. سيد بلال، استشاري المشروع، ومستشار رئيس الجامعة لشؤون الابتكار وريادة الأعمال، ووكيل كلية الزراعة لشؤون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، حيث ركز التدريب على رفع القدرات الفنية لفنيي المعمل وتعزيز مهاراتهم العملية في التعامل مع متطلبات تشغيل المعمل وفق ممارسات آمنة ومنظمة.

تناول التدريب الجوانب الفنية والتطبيقية المرتبطة ببيئة العمل داخل المعمل، وإجراءات النظافة والتعقيم، والتعامل السليم مع الأدوات والخامات، بما يضمن دعم جودة العمليات الفنية المرتبطة بزراعة المشروم المحاري والاستفادة من قش الأرز بصورة آمنة ومستدامة.

كما ركز التدريب على أهمية الالتزام بالإجراءات التشغيلية السليمة داخل المعمل، ومراعاة معايير السلامة، وتوثيق خطوات العمل، بما يساهم في تعزيز كفاءة الأداء وضمان استمرارية تنفيذ أنشطة المشروع بصورة أكثر تنظيمًا وفاعلية.

ويأتي هذا التدريب بهدف تأهيل الكوادر الفنية داخل المشروع، ودعم جاهزية المعمل للقيام بدوره في تنفيذ الأنشطة التطبيقية، بما يساهم في تحقيق أهداف المشروع في تحويل المخلفات الزراعية إلى قيمة بيئية واقتصادية، وتعزيز حلول الاقتصاد الدائري بمحافظة كفر الشيخ.

In the framework of raising awareness about the importance of the safe and sustainable utilization of agricultural residues, and building the technical capacities of the project’s staff, Direction Association for Rehabilitation and Community Integration implemented a specialized technical training for 2 lab technicians, within the activities of the EU Green / National Solid Waste Management Programme, at the premises of the project “Recycling Rice Straw to Produce Oyster Mushrooms and Animal Feed in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate.” The training lasted for 3 days.

The training was delivered by Prof. Dr. Sayed Belal, Project Consultant, Advisor to the University President for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Affairs, and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. The training focused on building the technical capacities of the lab technicians and enhancing their practical skills in dealing with laboratory operation requirements according to safe and organized practices.

The training covered the technical and practical aspects related to the laboratory work environment, cleaning and sterilization procedures, and the proper handling of tools and raw materials, in a way that supports the quality of technical processes related to oyster mushroom cultivation and the safe and sustainable utilization of rice straw.

The training also emphasized the importance of complying with proper laboratory operating procedures, observing safety standards, and documenting work steps, contributing to improved performance efficiency and ensuring the continuity of project activities in a more organized and effective manner.

This training aims to qualify the technical staff within the project and support the laboratory’s readiness to perform its role in implementing the project’s applied activities, contributing to achieving the project’s objectives of transforming agricultural residues into environmental and economic value and promoting circular economy solutions in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate.

في إطار متابعة تنفيذ أنشطة مشروع EU Green / البرنامج الوطني لإدارة المخلفات الصلبة، شهد مقر مشروع إعادة تدوير قش الأرز لإنتاج المشروم المحاري والعلف الحيواني بمحافظة كفر الشيخ زيارة ميدانية من ممثلي مؤسسة اتجاه والوكالة الألمانية للتعاون الدولي (جي اي زد) مصر، وذلك لمتابعة جاهزية مقر المشروع والاطلاع على مكونات الوحدة التنفيذية على أرض الواقع.

تضمنت الزيارة تفقد عدد من مكونات مقر المشروع، شملت القاعة التدريبية، ومعمل إنتاج تقاوي المشروم، والوحدة التطبيقية لزراعة المشروم المحاري، وغرفة التعقيم، ووحدة التشغيل، ووحدة تخزين قش الأرز، بما يعكس التكامل بين الجوانب التدريبية والفنية والتطبيقية للمشروع.

وخلال الزيارة، قدّم أ.د. سيد بلال، استشاري المشروع، شرحًا تفصيليًا لمكونات المقر وآليات التشغيل، واستعرض مراحل العمل داخل المعمل والوحدة التطبيقية، بداية من تجهيز قش الأرز ومعالجته بصورة آمنة، مرورًا بإنتاج تقاوي المشروم، ووصولًا إلى مراحل الزراعة والتشغيل والتخزين، بما يدعم تنفيذ أنشطة المشروع وفق ممارسات منظمة ومستدامة.

كما حضر الزيارة أ. محمد الفلو، رئيس مجلس إدارة جمعية اتجاه للتأهيل والدمج المجتمعي، وأ. عبد الرحمن أحمد، المدير التنفيذي للجمعية، حيث تم استعراض ما تم تجهيزه داخل مقر المشروع، ومناقشة الجوانب الفنية والتنفيذية المرتبطة باستدامة التشغيل وتحقيق الأثر البيئي والاقتصادي المستهدف داخل المجتمع المحلي بمحافظة كفر الشيخ.

وتأتي هذه الزيارة في إطار الحرص على متابعة خطوات التنفيذ، ودعم جاهزية مقر المشروع، وتعزيز التنسيق بين الجهات المعنية، بما يساهم في تحويل قش الأرز من مخلف زراعي إلى مورد قابل للاستفادة، ويدعم حلول الاقتصاد الدائري والحد من الممارسات الضارة بالبيئة.

In the framework of following up on the implementation of the activities of the EU Green / National Solid Waste Management Programme, the premises of the project “Recycling Rice Straw to Produce Oyster Mushrooms and Animal Feed in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate” witnessed a field visit by representatives of Etijah and GIZ Egypt, to follow up on the readiness of the project premises and review the components of the operational unit on the ground.

The visit included an inspection of several components of the project premises, including the training hall, the mushroom spawn production laboratory, the applied unit for oyster mushroom cultivation, the sterilization room, the operation unit, and the rice straw storage unit, reflecting the integration between the training, technical, and applied aspects of the project.

During the visit, Prof. Dr. Sayed Belal, Project Consultant, provided a detailed explanation of the premises’ components and operation mechanisms. He also presented the workflow inside the laboratory and the applied unit, starting from preparing and safely treating rice straw, through mushroom spawn production, and reaching the cultivation, operation, and storage stages, supporting the implementation of the project activities according to organized and sustainable practices.

The visit was also attended by Mr. Mohamed El-Flew, Chairman of the Board of Direction Association for Rehabilitation and Community Integration, and Mr. Abdelrahman Ahmed, Executive Director of the Association. The visit included a review of the preparations completed within the project premises, as well as discussions on the technical and implementation aspects related to operational sustainability and achieving the targeted environmental and economic impact within the local community in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate.

This visit comes within the framework of following up on implementation steps, supporting the readiness of the project premises, and strengthening coordination among the concerned entities, contributing to transforming rice straw from an agricultural residue into a usable resource, while supporting circular economy solutions and reducing environmentally harmful practices.

قدّم المادة العلمية والتطبيقية للتدريب أ.د. سيد بلال، استشاري المشروع، ومستشار رئيس الجامعة لشؤون الابتكار وريادة الأعمال، ووكيل كلية الزراعة لشؤون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، حيث تناول التدريب الجوانب الفنية والعملية المرتبطة بزراعة المشروم المحاري والاستفادة الآمنة من قش الأرز.

This training aims to raise the awareness and capacities of male and female farmers to adopt practical solutions for utilizing agricultural residues, reducing the burning of rice straw, and opening new opportunities for sustainable production that creates environmental and economic value within the local community in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate.

Highlights from the introductory day activities for the project “Recycling Rice Straw to Produce Oyster Mushrooms and Animal Feed in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate”, which aimed to present the project and its activities, and highlight the environmental and economic feasibility of utilizing rice straw within circular economy solutions.

The event brought together representatives of governmental, technical, and academic entities, stakeholders, and a number of male and female beneficiaries, to support cooperation and networking toward implementing practical solutions that contribute to reducing the burning of agricultural residues and protecting the environment.

اليوم التعريفي بمشروع إعادة تدوير قش الأرز لإنتاج المشروم المحاري والعلف الحيواني بمحافظة كفر الشيخ

في إطار تنفيذ أنشطة مشروع EU Green / البرنامج الوطني لإدارة المخلفات الصلبة، تم عقد اليوم التعريفي بمشروع إعادة تدوير قش الأرز لإنتاج المشروم المحاري والعلف الحيواني بمحافظة كفر الشيخ، وذلك يوم 15 أغسطس 2026 بفندق مسك بمحافظة كفر الشيخ.

شهدت الفعالية حضور ومشاركة عدد من الشخصيات والجهات الداعمة والشريكة، وممثلي الجهات الحكومية والفنية والأكاديمية، وأصحاب المصلحة، إلى جانب عدد من الجهات التجارية وأصحاب المشروعات، بما يعكس أهمية المشروع ودوره في دعم حلول الاقتصاد الدائري والاستفادة من المخلفات الزراعية بصورة آمنة ومستدامة.

كما شهد اليوم التعريفي حضور عدد 50 مستفيدًا ومستفيدة من ممثلي المجتمع المحلي وأصحاب المصلحة المعنيين، بما يعزز مشاركة المجتمع في دعم أهداف المشروع ونشر الوعي بأهمية الاستفادة من المخلفات الزراعية بصورة آمنة ومستدامة.

Introductory Day for the Project “Recycling Rice Straw to Produce Oyster Mushrooms and Animal Feed” in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate

As part of the activities of the EU Green / National Solid Waste Management Programme, the introductory day for the project “Recycling Rice Straw to Produce Oyster Mushrooms and Animal Feed in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate” was held on 15 August 2026 at Misk Hotel in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate.

The event witnessed the attendance and participation of a number of distinguished figures, supporting and partner entities, representatives of governmental, technical, and academic bodies, stakeholders, as well as commercial entities and entrepreneurs. This reflected the importance of the project and its role in supporting circular economy solutions and the safe and sustainable utilization of agricultural residues.

The introductory day was also attended by 50 male and female beneficiaries, including representatives of the local community and relevant stakeholders, strengthening community participation in supporting the project’s objectives and raising awareness about the safe and sustainable utilization of agricultural residues.

The introductory day aimed to introduce the project and its supporting and partner entities, highlight the economic and environmental feasibility of recycling rice straw, present the project’s activities and implementation phases, and strengthen networking and cooperation with governmental entities, technical and academic bodies, and relevant stakeholders.

The project represents a practical step toward transforming rice straw from an agricultural residue that may pose an environmental burden into a resource that can be utilized through oyster mushroom cultivation and maximizing the use of residual outputs in animal feed production. This supports environmental protection, reduces the burning of agricultural residues, and promotes circular economy opportunities in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate.

Reducing the burning of rice straw begins with changing the way we deal with it. Instead of viewing it as agricultural waste, it can be seen as a resource that can be utilized.

Through the EU Green project, we work to raise awareness about the importance of using rice straw, after proper preparation and processing, as a suitable growing medium for oyster mushroom cultivation, while maximizing the safe and sustainable use of residual outputs.

Every step in the right direction contributes to reducing pollution, protecting the environment, and supporting the circular economy within the local community.

بعد الحصاد، قش الأرز قد يُترك كعبء على المزارع والبيئة، لكن عندما ننظر له بطريقة مختلفة، يمكن أن يتحول إلى مورد له قيمة.

في مشروع EU Green، نعمل على نشر الوعي بكيفية الاستفادة من قش الأرز بدلًا من إهداره، من خلال تجهيزه ومعالجته بطريقة آمنة، ثم استخدامه كبيئة مناسبة لزراعة المشروم المحاري.

ولا تنتهي القصة عند حصاد المشروم، فالمتبقيات يمكن تعظيم الاستفادة منها بصورة آمنة ومستدامة، بما يدعم الاقتصاد الدائري ويقلل الهدر ويحافظ على البيئة.

After the harvest, rice straw may be left as a burden on both farmers and the environment. However, when we look at it differently, it can be transformed into a valuable resource.

Through the EU Green project, we work to raise awareness on how rice straw can be utilized instead of being wasted, by preparing and processing it safely, then using it as a suitable growing medium for oyster mushroom cultivation.

The story does not end with mushroom harvesting, as residual outputs can be maximized safely and sustainably, supporting the circular economy, reducing waste, and protecting the environment.
