Attention Tech Enthusiasts and Innovators 🤩✨💫⭐️

We are thrilled to announce the call for abstracts for the initial stage of the IEEE-YESIST12 International Competition! 🌎 This exciting phase will be hosted in Egypt at the College of Engineering and Technology, part of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport in Abu Kir 🇪🇬. The competition comprises five competitive tracks, and teams that perform exceptionally in each track will have the chance to compete in the international finals, scheduled to take place in Indonesia in 2026 🇮🇩. Presentation of projects live demo in the preliminary stage on the 16th and 17th of April, details will be announced later.

The Mu Beta Chapter is proud to mark a highly successful 2024–2025 academic year. Our chapter has been honored with Key Chapter Recognition and the prestigious Outstanding Chapter Award (OCA) — two distinctions that reflect the dedication, leadership, and impact of our members.

• Key Chapter Recognition highlights chapters that consistently demonstrate best practices, strong engagement, and meaningful contributions to their communities.
• The Outstanding Chapter Award is granted to only about 10% of the 280 HKN chapters worldwide, placing Mu Beta among the top-performing chapters globally.

These achievements represent the collective effort of our officers, members, volunteers, and partners who continue to elevate our chapter’s mission of technical excellence, leadership, and service.

🚀 TryEngineering on Campus at AASTMT 2025 Recap:

On December 17–18, 2025, the College of Engineering and Technology at AASTMT, Alexandria came alive with energy, curiosity, and innovation as students gathered for IEEE TryEngineering on Campus.

Sincere gratitude to His Excellency Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghafar - إسماعيل عبدالغفار , President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport, for his invaluable support of this initiative.

Special thanks to Prof. Akram Soliman Elselmy, Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology, for supporting the initiative during the yearlong preparation phase.

✨ Over two days, participants explored:

• Engineering Career Opportunities – discovering diverse paths to shape the future.
• Problem Solving & Critical Thinking – tackling real-world challenges with creativity.
• Engineering Design Process (EDP) – learning how ideas transform into impactful solutions.
• Sustainability & Future Technologies – envisioning a greener, smarter tomorrow.

👩‍🔧👨‍🔧 The event, organized by Mu Beta Kidzineers STEM Outreach, inspired school-aged students to see themselves as the next generation of engineers. Hands-on activities, collaborative workshops, and engaging discussions made engineering not just a subject, but an exciting journey of discovery.

🌍 With its vibrant atmosphere and mission-driven focus, on Campus at reinforced the importance of STEM outreach in empowering youth and building a sustainable future.

🎉 This gathering also coincided with the 15-year celebration of the IEEE Eta Kappa Nu (IEEE-HKN) merger, a milestone that highlights the enduring partnership between two leading organizations in advancing engineering education, leadership, and outreach worldwide. The synergy of and continues to inspire students and professionals alike, fostering unity and innovation across generations.
