Victoria College Debaters of the Queen – VCDOQs is an after-school club founded by the Loyal Victorians on the 21st of December, 2013. We are a group of Victorian students independent of any religious or political affiliations except for our school, sharing a common interest – which is Debating- and caring to practice this interest within our school community. As an after-school club we have a fix
ed meeting every week, at which we practice and develop our debating skills through various activities as: academic sessions, workshops, and discussions. Vision
Creating an in-school debating community, that sustains the process of development of its stakeholders through learning by exposure and self-learning methodologies. This community will help reshape the concept of debate for our stakeholders from being an interest to being an essential part of their daily life. Mission
To serve our vision, we must start raising a generation of young debaters at Victoria College through the following goals:
1.Creating a society where all opinions are acceptable.
2.Enlightening our students, teaching them to see and analyse every incident from multiple perspectives.
3.Facilitating a suitable environment for our members to take advantage of their own undiscovered skills, and develop them.
4.Developing the debating and negotiation skills of our members through teaching them about different debating strategies, and practicing different styles of debate.
5.Contributing in building the awareness of our members through discussing diverse topics thus, giving them minimum amount of knowledge in many fields of life.
6.Preparing future leaders who can utilize their learnt skills in taking responsibility of the club management.
