A permanent legal education project established under the auspices of Alexandria University and the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA). The “AlexandriaU-CRCICA Arbitration Initiative” is a legal education project established under the auspices of Alexandria University and the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), the aim of which is to promote institutional arbitration among law students and young practitioners through conducting various activities. Vision: Advancing the culture of institutional arbitration and other ADR mechanisms within the legal community in such an evolving global environment and contributing to the development of legal education. Objective: Contributing to promoting the notions of institutional arbitration and other ADRs and developing their understanding amongst law students and young practitioners and to train the legal professionals of tomorrow on the ADRs whilst enhancing their capabilities, thereby equipping them in order to be able to meet the market demands. Also, to establish and develop co-operation and professional contacts between law students from different universities, thereby fostering mutual understanding within the legal communities and facilitating the exchange of knowledge.

We are proud to share moments from the warm welcome extended by Ambassador Mohamed Nasr, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Austria and Permanent Representative to the United Nations and International Organizations in Vienna, to a distinguished group of Egyptian law students participating in the 33rd edition of the Willem C. Vis Moot, held in Vienna, Austria.

The reception, kindly hosted by Dr. Khaled Abu Shanab, Cultural Attaché in Vienna, brought together talented Egyptian students representing their universities:
- The Faculty of Law, Alexandria University
- ⁠The German University in Cairo
- ⁠The British University in Egypt
- ⁠Ain Shams University
- ⁠Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne / Cairo
University.

In his remarks, Ambassador Nasr highlighted the importance of participating in such international competitions and student activities, emphasizing their vital role in fostering cross-cultural exchange, connecting students with peers from leading universities worldwide, and enhancing both their academic and practical skills.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Vienna for their continuous support and generous hospitality towards the Egyptian teams throughout their journey in Vienna.
