About Caritas AIU:
Established in 1995, Caritas Egypt's AIDS Intervention Unit (AIU) has played a pioneering role in HIV-related intervention programs across Egypt. With strong experience in supporting people living with HIV (PLHIV), those affected by HIV, and key populations (KPs), AIU works closely with the National AIDS Program (NAP) and various national and international stakeholders.
Caritas Egypt – AIDS Intervention Unit is urgently hiring the following position:
Job Title: Project Coordinator

Summary of the Position
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the overall coordination and harmonization of project activities and staff capacity-building efforts. He/she will oversee the implementation of project activities across three governorates, ensuring coordination and consistency among field teams. He/she will also ensure that the quality of project implementation is in line with Caritas Egypt’s standards.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning of project activities and set high-quality performance targets, ensuring adherence to technical standards, best practices, and Caritas Egypt guidelines.
• Use appropriate project management tools to plan, review, and track progress on project implementation as well as the utilization of project resources.
• Oversee quantitative and qualitative data collection, storage, management, and sharing processes, ensuring compliance with global standards, local guidance, and project requirements.
• Ensure regular reporting (at least monthly), including activity descriptions, indicator updates, lessons learned, and continuous communication with Caritas Egypt.
• Develop project communication materials and documentation in collaboration with the Visibility Officer, including lessons learned and success stories.
• Ensure proper financial management systems are in place and followed, in coordination with the Financial Officer.
• Set and clearly communicate expectations to all project staff to ensure they understand and are able to perform their responsibilities.
• Provide leadership for project staff in terms of vision, implementation, and planning, and ensure the safety and security of field teams.
• Report any concerns or suspicions of exploitation or abuse in accordance with reporting procedures, and ensure proper investigation is conducted.
• Ensure project implementation and management comply with donor regulations.
• Follow up on recommendations from Caritas Egypt and the donor.
• Advise Caritas Management on issues affecting project implementation or key local factors influencing future services for refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants in Egypt.
• Ensure timely and high-quality preparation of project narrative reports, quarterly performance indicator tracking tables, baseline and final reports, as well as any other reports required by the local government or donors, according to the reporting schedule.
• Participate in relevant coordination meetings.
• Monitor and supervise all project activities.
• Be responsible for project evaluation and assessment of results.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
• University degree in public health, social sciences, development studies, or any related field.
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written) is a must.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Coordinator in social work, case management, humanitarian affairs, development, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in team supervision and management.
• Experience in data management and monitoring & evaluation.
