E-Gnite 2026 is over.

Two weeks. 400+ participants across the School and University divisions. A theme worth the effort: Cities of the Future. A curriculum designed and delivered in-house by IECC. A methodology that made every team earn its solution by understanding the problem first. A 130,000 EGP prize pool funded by IECC. A Grand Finale in front of a full house at Youth Entrepreneurs Day.

Thank you to every participant, trainer, judge, organiser and partner who made this edition what it was.

What two weeks of E-Gnite 2026 actually looked like.

It started loud: icebreakers, team-building, 400+ strangers becoming co-founders.

Then it got hard. Market research that contradicted the first idea. Customer discovery that sent teams back to the start. Business models rebuilt on the third attempt. Arguments at the whiteboard that ended in a better answer. Problem first, solution second, and no way to skip the order.

Then Demo Day, where every team faced the panel with what they had built. Some pitches landed. Some got taken apart. Both are how founders learn.

This is where E-Gnite was won, long before anyone reached the finale stage.

Behind E-Gnite 2026 there was a team most participants never saw.

Registration desks open before anyone arrived. Rooms reset between sessions. Rosters, badges, gate checks, timing, logistics, and a hundred problems solved before they became visible. Some of the same people were training in front of a room an hour earlier.

To every organiser and facilitator who carried this programme for two weeks: thank you. E-Gnite ran because you ran it.

E-Gnite 2026 was delivered in-house by the IECC team, and we brought in a small number of external voices where an outside perspective would sharpen the teams. Eng. Wael Sabry was one of them, first in the training rooms and then on the Grand Finale judging panel.
