My dear friends,

Just as I expected, today we have doubled our declared distance. We went from 777 km to 1,554 km, and we are still running.

I am very happy, and I will not hide my pride in all of us. I have attached the latest results below. If I have missed anything, please write to me individually via WhatsApp.

Please take note of Karolina Barałkiewicz Sokal’s result from June 7th: 60 km... a great result. Karolina ran today with her charges, the little friends she has been with from the very beginning.

Take a look on Facebook: it warms the heart, Karolina — SHE HAS A HUGE HEART."

We are thrilled to see such a wonderful continuation of the "LIONS relay for PEACE Romea Strata" initiative! 🏃‍♂️✨

Seven amazing marchers from "Domy Dziecka w Kórniku-Bninie," joined by Aunt Karolina, covered an 8 km route today, hiking and running along the historical trade and pilgrim path. It is a fantastic example of how active leisure brings a community together, and enjoying ice cream in the Kórnik market square afterwards was the perfect reward.

This is just the beginning—we look forward to more kilometers and joyful moments together! Thank you for your energy and participation! 🍦👟

"Romeo Strata Run Lions Relay for Peace is a unique sports and integration event that brings together participants from Estonia, Latvia , Lithuania , Poland , the Czech Republic , Austria , Slovenia and Italy .

The aim of the run is to symbolically carry the message of peace in the world , a charitable goal, building good relations between neighboring countries , restoring the memory of the European cultural route.

One of the stages of this run was a stop in Sejny at the Polish-Lithuanian border. The Lithuanian Lions gave the Polish Lions the official flag of Romea Strata Run , a symbolic baton of the relay .
The joint meeting of Lions Clubs members from Poland and Lithuania reminded that sport can connect people across borders, promoting the values of cooperation, dialogue and peace and mutual understanding, which are the foundation of a common future . On this occasion, the Lions of Olsztyn donated a souvenir in the form of a silver coin from the time of King Sigismund II Augustus from 1550 yr. , which is a symbol of the ties not only of Poland , Lithuania but also of Italy / his mother was Bona Sforza from Italy/ , the goal of our run🙂.

We celebrated the meeting with a short white march along the streets of Sejny , and we ended the meeting with a joint meal and talks in the inn of the Lithuanian House.

The event was attended by guests from Lithuania under the leadership of the Governor of Lithuania Henrikas Ianauskas , as well as Polish lions with the Governor-elect Michał Wigurski and a delegation of Lions Club Olsztyn , President Danuta Klemańska, Barbara Grędzińska, Dariusz Wierzbowski with accompanying persons."

Best regards Dariusz Wierzbowski

The "Romea Strata – Lions Relay for Peace" continues its journey! 🌍🏃‍♂️

Our Polish Lions friends are doing an incredible job, keeping the spirit of peace and unity alive! 🇵🇱 They have already covered over 415 km of their goal, with many more runners joining the cause every day.

We are proud to see this international movement growing. The next major milestone is fast approaching: our DG Henrikas Ivanauskas will meet with VDG Michał Wigurski and the Polish team at the Lithuanian-Polish border on May 29th to symbolically receive the relay flags. 🤝

What makes this project truly special is how it connects Lions from different countries—from Ukraine and Canada to Poland and Lithuania—working together for a common goal.

Let’s keep the momentum going! Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our path toward peace.

"Romea Strata" – Lions Relay for Peace in Lithuania! 🇱🇹🕊️
The Lithuanian stage of the "Romea Strata – Lions Relay for Peace" has officially concluded, and the baton has been successfully passed to our colleagues in the Poland LIONS district!

I am incredibly proud of our Lithuanian team—DG Henrikas Ivanauskas, Aurimas Beržinskas, and Jurgita Vijūne. Together, they showed true resilience and dedication, uniting the Lions clubs across Lithuania to successfully complete this leg of the journey. 🦁💪

We wish our friends in the Poland LIONS district the very best of luck as they continue this mission toward Rome.
