The ladies of LC Põlva Gloria recently joined the international "Romea Strata" peace relay, completing an impressive 10km hike from Taevaskoja to Põlva. 🌿

Here is a glimpse of what they achieved during this meaningful event:
• Strengthened Community: They brought together Lions members and guests to walk for a common cause—global peace.
• Shared Wishes for Peace: At the local wish stone, they placed symbolic hopes for a more peaceful world. ✨
• Connected with Nature: Led by their guide Epp, they explored the history and natural beauty of their region, finding inner calm along the way.

We are proud of our sisters at LC Põlva Gloria for their dedication to the "Lions for Peace" initiative! Their journey reminds us that every step counts when walking toward a better future. 💛🦁

Itaalia Lionsi klubide algatusel kulgeb mööda iidset Romea Strata palverännuteed rahumatk. Laupäeval andsid Eesti lionsid Valga keskväljakul sümboolse matkakepi ja lipu üle lätlastele.

Peace has no borders! 🕊️🏍️

Yesteraday in Valga, Latvia LIONS clubs shared a truly special moment – welcoming motorcyclists from Tallinn and solemnly signing the European LIONS peace relay flag, the Romea Strata. 🚩

This event united us under one common goal. We were honored to present a greeting card from the Latvia LIONS Clubs to the Estonian LIONS Governor, Aare Jalakas.

🦁The ceremonial reception was made even more significant by the participation of four Latvian LIONS Clubs:
• LC Riga (President Laimdota Vilcēna, Secretary Zigurds Beinerts, Treasurer Uģis Klētnieks)
• LC Rigas Liepa (President Ingūna Beinerte)
• LC Jurmala (President Zigmunds Klīvis)
• LC Valmiera (President Valters Pumpurs)

The Romea Strata flag now continues its journey to Latvia, where they will organize the next "LIONS for Peace" charity activities, before delivering it to our brothers and sisters at LIONS Club Lithuania! 🇱🇻➡️🇱🇹

🕊️ From Tallinn to Rome: The Launch of the Europe LIONS Relay for Peace.

🦁 Today, the city of Tallinn, Estonia, hosted the grand opening of an extraordinary project: "Europe LIONS Relay for Peace: Romea Strata." Guided by the powerful theme "Connecting Cultures for a Better World," this initiative marks a historic moment of unity for the European Lions community.

Highlights of the Opening Ceremony
• The Official Opening: The Governor of the Estonia Lions District, Aare Jakakas, solemnly opened the event, setting a tone of regional cooperation and shared purpose.
• A Message of Peace: Peace Ambassador Ghaleb Gnanem delivered a moving speech on the profound meaning of global peace in today's world.
• International Fellowship: Representing Lithuania, the Governor of Lions District D-131, Henrikas Ivanauskas, emphasized that international friendship and solidarity are the essential foundations for a brighter future.

🌍 This relay is a monumental undertaking that spans the heart of the continent:
• Distance: A total of 4,044 km.
• The Route: Stretching from the shores of Tallinn all the way to the historic gates of Rome.
• Eight Nations, One Goal: The relay will cross Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, and Italy.
