Youth in Eu and China project brings together 16 youth organisations operating in Europe, China and South East Asia and is intended to foster cooperation between European and Chinese youth organisations. The general objectives of this project are:

- to foster cooperation and mobility between European and Chinese volunteers and youth organizations
- to develop a number of sustainable partnership b

etween Europe and China and contribute to the creation of a a dialogue platform in order to discuss and work on common issues such as youth unemployment and cultural diversity and participation
- to transfer knowledge/skills between Europe and China in order to contribute to capacity building of youth organizations actively involved in society development
- to empower young people in order to positively impact their participation in the society through active involvement in civic initiatives
- to increase awareness on cultural diversity and work together to make people feel cultural diversity a plus
- to promote cooperation and exchange of good practices between European and Chinese youth organizations
- to achieve extensive and positive impact and help ensure that cooperation between policy makers as well as between youth organizations is sustainable beyond 2011.
- to interest young people on EU-China relations and actively participate in the development of such relations
promote intercultural dialogue and strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between European and Chinese youth. More specifically, the concrete goals this project wants to achieve are:

- Empower young volunteers and promote their active participation in the society
- Tackle the increasingly worrying issue of youth unemployment at the global level
- Stress the importance of voluntary work in fighting youth unemployment in both geographical regions, EU and China
- Clearly define an agenda for further EU-China cooperation in the field of youth organisations
- Promote cooperation and exchange of good practices in non formal education and its role in enhancing qualifications of young people
- Foster mobility of young people and youth workers and encourage them to take a global approach to world problems by raising awareness on the importance of voluntary work in tackling issues of cultural diversity and youth unemployment
- Foster capacity building for youth organizations in Europe and Asia
