Eesti Instituut/Estonian Institute Eesti Instituut vahendab Eesti kultuuri ja keele alaseid ettevõtmisi nii rahvusvaheliselt kui Eesti-siseselt. Instituudil on välisesindus Budapestis.

Kodanikualgatusliku ühendusena toimiva Eesti Instituudi tegevuse aluseks on põhikiri. Instituudi tööd suunab liikmete üldkogu ning kolmeks aastaks valitav juhatus. Eesti Instituut saab oma tegevuseks toetust riigieelarvest Kultuuriministeeriumi vahendusel. Sellele lisandub konkreetsete ettevõtmiste tarvis erinevatest allikatest laekuv sihtrahastus. Eesti tutvustamisel välismaal on Eesti Instituud

i pikaajalisemaid partnereid Välisministeerium. Eesti keele ja kultuuri välisõpet korraldatakse tihedas koostöös Haridus- ja Teadusministeeriumiga. Eesti Instituut on Euroopa Liidu rahvuslike kultuuriinstituutide koostöövõrgustiku EUNIC täisliige ja tegetseb EUNICi mitmes kohapealses klastris.

The presentation of the English translation of Lennart Meri's "Silverwhite: The Journey to the Fallen Sun", took place today at the residence of the British Ambassador, Mr. Ross Allen, in Tallinn. The book, which will be 50 years old next year since its first printing in Estonian, has finally reached the European and world cultural space, where it has belonged since the beginning. The book was translated by Adam Cullen and published by C Hurst & Co Publishers Ltd.
