🇮🇹Training course “AI: Tell Me why?” was held in Bergamo, Italy, from 29th of July until 5th of August. Participants from different NGOs, including youth workers, teachers and trainers, came together to learn more about Artificial Intelligence and explore how it can be used in education and youth work.
🤖During the training course, we discovered what prompt engineering is and learned how to write effective prompts to get better results from AI tools. We experimented with generating photos and videos, compared different AI tools and explored their strengths and limitations. We also created practical AI-based tools that can be used by youth workers in their everyday work.
⚡️But the course was not only about learning how to use AI. We also discussed the importance of critical thinking when working with AI, how to recognise its limitations and how to approach conversations about artificial intelligence with young people. It was a great opportunity to share experiences, learn from each other and discover new ways of using technology responsibly and creatively.
🌟And, of course, being in Italy meant that we could not miss the opportunity to explore it! We enjoyed the beautiful streets and atmosphere of Bergamo, visited Milan and spent time at the stunning Lake Como. Between workshops, discussions and group activities, we had plenty of moments to explore, laugh, connect and simply enjoy the Italian summer.
One of the most valuable parts of the experience was the people we met. Participants from different countries and organisations brought their own experiences, ideas and perspectives, creating a truly international and inspiring environment. We returned to Estonia not only with new knowledge and practical AI skills, but also with new friendships, ideas and potential partnerships.
“AI: Tell Me why?” was a week full of learning, creativity, discovery and meaningful connections — an experience that will definitely stay with us for a long time.🫂
