🌿 Join our Mehendi Workshop at TalTech! ✨

TalTech Doctoral Students’ Association (DoKo), together with Alexandra Lorelei, invites PhD students and researchers to a special workshop exploring the beautiful art of mehendi!

Alexandra has been practising mehendi since 2013 and will guide us through different styles, techniques, and tips for creating and caring for beautiful patterns.

📅 Date: 19 October
🕓 Time: 16:00–18:00
👥 Group size: Maximum 12 participants

During the workshop, you will:
✨ Discover different mehendi styles
🌿 Learn about the differences between henna paste, jagua gel, and “black henna”
🎨 Practice drawing patterns on paper and, if you’re feeling brave, on each other!
💚 Learn how to care for your mehendi and help it last longer
☕ Enjoy tea, coffee, and a little treat

We're looking for an organised, people-oriented professional to be the operational heart of DoKo — planning and running our activities, managing our community of 500+ doctoral students, and leading our ambassador and events teams.

Your core responsibilities:
🔵 Day-to-day operations — keeping activities on track, teams coordinated, deadlines met
🔵 Develop the annual activity plan with the Board and own its ex*****on
🔵 Lead the Ambassador Programme and volunteer working groups
🔵 Oversee events, communications, and social media (with a team to delegate to)
🔵 Handle external relations, admin, and reporting

We're looking for someone who:
🔵 Has proven experience in project coordination, planning, and communications
🔵 Can manage multiple workstreams and delegate effectively
🔵 Is self-motivated and comfortable working independently
🔵 Is fluent in English; Estonian is a big plus
🔵 Has a feel for social media and marketing

Bonus points for: experience in academic environments, volunteer team coordination, or tools like Teams/Notion.

St. Valentine’s Linocut Workshop Recap 💌🎨

Linocut is becoming a tradition!
We wrapped up January with a hands-on linocut workshop, where participants explored relief printing by carving their own designs into linoleum and creating a series of prints.

Everyone had the chance to make multiple handmade prints (perfect for home décor or Valentine’s cards) and to keep their linoleum block, so they can continue printing in the future.

A big thank you to everyone who joined and brought such a warm, creative atmosphere!🥰
