“𝗘𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗡𝗲𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆” 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
“Escape from Neon City” is a game about media literacy developed in the frame of the "Gamify+" project.

Last April, our team of facilitators, Kolia, Tanel and Krystyna, visited 6 different schools in Tallinn to play the game with young people, reaching a total of 120 individual players. 💥

“Gamify+” was a project coordinated by Cesta Rozvoje, co-funded by the European Union and implemented with the support of the Czech National Agency.

At the end of May, the final meeting of Gamify+ was held in Poland. Partners met to share experiences about the impacts of training courses, game development sessions, and local activities carried out athroughout the long-term project.

Shokkin Group’s team consisted of Tanel, Nastja, Kolia and Krystyna, who were involved in testing the game and running it in the field with young people. 🥰

🤩"𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗱 & 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿" 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽
Day 3
On our last day we jumped straight into escape game design: we presented different types of escape games, talked about puzzle loops and puzzle types, and gave teams THE mission: building a playable educational escape game prototype including at least three puzzle loops... by lunch time!

And guess what: teams delivered! After lunch we had two rounds of testing where participants had the chance to experience both roles: facilitators and players.

Afterwards, all the teams came together to reflect on their test games, share feedback, and discuss their experiences.

As the project came to an end, participants received certificates for being part of the project and just like that, our 3-day adventure was over. See you next time! 💥💥

🤩"𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗱 & 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿" 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽
Day 1 We started our camp in the evening by getting to know each other and playing our first escape box, “Digital Footprint.” It helped us understand the structure and ideas that can be used when creating our own games in the future.

Day 2 We explored two more escape boxes and learned about active citizenship, such as: volunteering, voting, speaking out and etc. After that, we divided into teams, started brainstorming, developed story ideas, and defined the main topics of our games. After a long and productive day, we relaxed with volleyball, sauna, and board games.🎲
