Dear Members and Friends of the Danish Estonian Chamber of Commerce,

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

As we close another year, I would like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to all those who have been part of the DECC since its founding in 2007. We’ve shared many successful events, built new business partnerships, and forged lasting friendships. The history of the chamber is filled with highlights, not least of all the visit of Queen Margrethe of Denmark to commemorate the 800th anniversary of Danneborg. This was a powerful reminder of the strong and enduring connection between Denmark and Estonia — a connection that remains as vital today as ever.

I would also like to extend a special thank you to everyone who has been involved in the chamber over the years—our dedicated managers, council members, chairpersons, and, of course, our long-serving accountant, Kadri. Your contributions have been instrumental in our success and in fostering business between Denmark and Estonia.

Looking ahead, a new chapter begins. From tomorrow, the Scandinavian Chamber of Commerce in Estonia will officially be active. We have merged with our friends from the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Estonia. As a member of the DECC, you will automatically become a member of the new chamber.

I would like to personally thank each of you for your trust in electing me as a council member over the years, and for later appointing me as Chairman. It has been an enjoyable, educational, and rewarding experience, and I have made many great friends along the way. Thank you very much!
