Põnev õhtupoolik Nukuteatri muuseumis, kus sai tutvuda mitte ainult teatri töö ja nukkudega, vaid olla ka ise näitleja rollis. Täname International Women's Club of Tallinn/ Tallinna Rahvusvaheline Naisteklubi selle võimaluse eest! Päev lõppes mõnusalt Burger Kingis :).

Ja kuidas siis ilma jõulupeota 😊. Osad lapsed valmistusid esinemiseks juba pikalt ette, mõned jõudsid oma salmi või laulu selgeks õppida alles viimasel hetkel, kuid kõigil oli võimalus esineda ning saada endale soovitud kingitus. Suur tänu Yolo Group`ile laste kingituste eest!
Täname Rachel Armstrong ja Judit Orosz-Simon koos peredega kõige maitsva ja toreda eest, mille te kaasa tõite!
WIMA Estonia naised – aitäh väga vajaliku kingituse eest, mis aitab hoida lastekeskuse ruume kergema vaevaga puhtana (see oli töötajate kingisoov 😊).

And how could we do without a Christmas party 😊
Some children had been preparing their performances well in advance, while others managed to learn their poem or song at the very last moment, but everyone had the chance to perform and receive the gift they wished for.
A big thank you to the Yolo Group for the children’s gifts!
We would like to thank Rachel and Judith, together with their families, for all the delicious and wonderful things you brought along.
The WIMA women – thank you for a very practical gift that helps keep the children’s center clean with much less effort (this was the staff’s wish 😊).

Jõulukuu alguses toimus ka Norra grupi Misjon Europa külastus – Ole Bjørn Saltnes koos sõpradega on juba aastakümneid enne Jõule rõõmustanud lapsi Norrast toodud kommide ja kingitustega. Suur aitäh, et ka sel aastal tulite lastekeskusesse pühaderõõmu jagama!
At the beginning of December, we also welcomed a Norwegian mission group Misjon Europa – Ole Bjørn Saltnes, together with his friends, has been bringing joy to the children for decades before Christmas with sweets and gifts from Norway. Thank you so much for coming again this year to share the Christmas joy at the children’s center!

Jõulukuu lastekeskuses. Kuu alguses külastas meid armas sõber Ameerikast, Teri Lightner DeWendt, kes nädala jooksul aitas lastel sisustada vaba aega ning valmistas maitsvaid tacosid, šokolaaditükkidega küpsiseid ja muid Ameerikapäraseid hõrgutisi. Suur tänu, Teri, et tulid taas meid aitama just sel kiirel ajal! 🥰
December at the Children’s Center. At the beginning of the month, we were visited by our dear friend from the United States, Teri DeWendt, who spent the week helping to keep the children engaged in their free time and prepared delicious tacos, chocolate chip cookies, and other American-style treats. A big thank you, Teri, for coming to help us again during such a busy time! 🥰

Taco teisipäeva puhul oli täna lastekeskuses lõunaks Tacod. Paljud lapsed sõid neid esimest korda elus ja nende jaoks oli see eriline maitseelamus. Suur tänu Teri, et valmistasid lastele nii maitsvat Mehhiko päritoluga rooga ning meisterdasid nendega vahvaid kuusepuid!
Today is Taco Tuesday and children’s center had tacos for lunch. Many of the children were eating them for the first time in their lives, and it was a special taste experience for them. A big thank-you to dear Teri for preparing such a delicious Mexican dish for the children and for making fun Christmas trees with them! ❤

Rahulikku Advendiaega kõigile! Meil algas pühade meeleolu juba eelmisel nädalal, kui lapsed said koos WIMA naistega küpsetada ja kaunistada piparkooke. Piparkoogi tainas oli nagu ka eelnevatel aastatel enda tehtud, õigemini WIMA-st Marise tehtud, ehtsa või ja rohkete maitseainetega. Suur tänu WIMA Estonia!!!

On Friday, the children were surprised by a visit from Alex Brack, who has been a member of the summer camp team for years. He brought Pizza and all sorts of treats, and since he wasn’t able to come for Thanksgiving, which is celebrated this Thursday in the United States. We all sat together at a big table on Friday and gratefully reminisced about the wonderful summer camps and the amazing team from Calvary UMC, who organize them year after year.
Many thanks to Alex for finding time in his busy schedule, between studying and working, to come visit and spend time with the children.
