CIF Estonia IPEP 2026 came to a memorable and heartwarming close with a farewell party and cultural evening in Tallinn on Saturday✨

The final evening brought together participants, organizers and host families one last time to celebrate the experiences, friendships and memories created throughout the program. Participants received certificates for completing the program, learned some Estonian folk dancing and shared traditional foods from their home countries 🌍🎶

A heartfelt thank you to our participants Beyza, Reynard and Kriton and to everyone who helped make CIF Estonia IPEP 2026 possible!

Second week of our program continued with individual field visits that took participants to different parts of Estonia.

From the university city of Tartu and the summer capital Pärnu to the beautiful island of Hiiumaa 🌿. Participants had the opportunity to explore social welfare in Estonia based on their own interests while also experiencing everyday life in different regions of the country.

The individual visits continued in Tallinn, followed by our final joint visits and program evaluation ✨

During the field programs, participants visited organizations working in the fields of mental health, rehabilitation, child and family welfare, disability support, elderly care, refugee support, social innovation and community wellbeing 🤝.

Thank you to all organizations and professionals who welcomed our participants and shared their knowledge and experiences with us!

Last week, participants visited the Social and Welfare Services Laboratory at Tallinn University of Technology at TTK University of Applied Sciences in Rakvere. The laboratory focuses on testing social and welfare services before deployment, as well as on testing and integrating smart devices, assistive technologies, simulation tools, and virtual reality solutions in social work.
In Rakvere, the group also visited LUMI Therapy Center and enjoyed an exhibition at the Ukuaru Arvo Pärt Concert Hall. The day continued with a scenic walk on Rakvere Vallimägi, offering beautiful views of Rakvere Castle.

The first week of our IPEP journey has been all about exploring how the social system works in Estonia 🇪🇪

During the week, we had the opportunity to meet representatives of the Estonian Social Insurance Board, learn more about the connections between healthcare and social work, discuss social work education and innovation, and get to know the work carried out at the local municipality level through our visit to Nõmme District Administration.

We were also delighted to welcome the IPEP26 Finnish delegation for a sunny day together in Tallinn 🇫🇮☀️ — sharing experiences, learning from one another and strengthening international connections.

In between all the learning, our group also spent a lovely day in Kadriorg Park enjoying the greenery and relaxing together while exploring Estonian art at Kumu Art Museum.

IPEP 2026 in Estonia has officially begun! ✨

We are excited to welcome participants from Türkiye, Singapore and Greece 🇹🇷🇸🇬🇬🇷

The first days have been all about getting to know each other — sharing meals, exchanging experiences and exploring Estonia through introductory seminars, as well as learning about the backgrounds and work of our participants.

Looking forward to the days ahead filled with learning and new perspectives!
