🇪🇺 Moving Together, Growing Together:
EduKiz Youth Exchange in Lithuania
From 20–29 September 2026, our association, Koolitus- ja Arenguühing (Training and Empowerment Association – TEA NGO), Estonia, took part in the EduKiz Youth Exchange in the beautiful natural surroundings of Labanoras, Lithuania.
The Erasmus+ Youth Exchange brought together young people from Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Spain and Greece, creating an international learning environment based on inclusion, intercultural dialogue, personal development and non-formal education.
Beyond Dance: Movement as a Tool for Learning
One of the most distinctive aspects of EduKiz was the use of body movement and Kizomba as non-formal learning tools. Rather than approaching dance simply as a recreational activity, participants explored how movement, rhythm and interaction can contribute to communication, trust, self-awareness and social inclusion.
Throughout the programme, participants worked on important themes including:
• Social and Intergenerational Inclusion – breaking down barriers, strengthening trust and exploring how non-verbal communication can support empathy and mutual understanding.
• Self-Discovery and Well-Being – developing body awareness, recognising personal boundaries and exploring well-being through movement and active participation.
• Integration Through Rhythm – experiencing how shared movement can create connections beyond linguistic, cultural and social differences.
Learning, Sharing and Connecting in Nature
The peaceful environment of Vilijos sodyba in Labanoras provided an inspiring setting for workshops, group activities, intercultural evenings, reflection sessions and informal exchanges among participants from different European countries.
Through these activities, participants had the opportunity not only to develop personally, but also to learn from one another, experience different cultures and discover practical approaches to inclusion and community participation.
For TEA NGO, participation in international youth projects such as EduKiz is an important part of our commitment to youth empowerment, intercultural learning, inclusion and European cooperation.
We are pleased to have represented Estonia in this international partnership and to bring the experiences, learning outcomes and new connections developed during the project back to our community.
EduKiz reminded us of a simple but powerful idea: when people move, learn and grow together, differences can become opportunities for connection.
