🔹 About Las Palmeras Dog Rescue
Las Palmeras Dog Rescue is a grassroots, street-level rescue based in Barrio Las Palmeras, Olón, Ecuador. We focus on the real dogs of this community — porch dogs, block dogs, backyard puppies, and the loyal companions of working families.
We’re not a shelter.
We’re a local rescue effort built on trust, grit, and daily care.
We provide:
🐾 Food support for families during hard times
💊 Medication & parasite prevention
💉 Vaccine education and access
🐶 Emergency support for sick or abandoned dogs
📚 Ongoing outreach about responsible care, spay/neuter, and nutrition
We work in partnership with local vets, clinics, agri-veterinarians, and other small coastal rescues. Most of our funding comes from out of pocket or local fundraising efforts — including baking and selling homemade goods to cover costs.
We show up — every day — for the dogs who live here.
