Beginning in 1999, AUF Inc. has been helping the people of Guasmo Sur, Guayaquil, Ecuador in partnership with the community organization Mi Cometa.

Life in partnership with the Health Center Mariuxi Febresccodero.

We continue to strengthen the well-being of our senior citizens in the Huamachu community through a physical and therapeutic exercise program developed in partnership with the Health Center.

These activities, which we carry out on an ongoing basis, help improve the mobility, agility, and overall well-being of our senior citizens, providing them with tools to maintain a more active and healthy lifestyle.

We will continue working together to build a community where our senior citizens have spaces dedicated to care, support, and well-being. 💚

In 2026, AUF, Inc., together with the Movimiento Mi Cometa, reaffirms its commitment to community development through the improvement of the Mi Cometa building in Guasmo Sur.

This building serves as the home of AUF programs, providing opportunities for education, well-being, leadership, and holistic development for children, youth, and families in the community. Investing in this space is about more than renovating a building—it is about strengthening the environment where opportunities are created, participation is encouraged, and lives are transformed.

We believe that safe, welcoming, and dignified spaces are essential to delivering high-quality services and expanding the impact of our work.

Together with the Movimiento Mi Cometa, we remain committed to building participatory spaces that strengthen communities and create opportunities for a brighter future.

Empowering young people starts with helping them believe in themselves.

Over the past month, Jóvenes para el futuro hosted an Identity and Personal Development Workshop, where participants strengthened their self-esteem, built confidence, and developed essential leadership skills for their future.

The workshop was led by José Luis Echeverría, AUF Coordinator, whose guidance inspired participants to grow with confidence and purpose.

Today, we proudly celebrate the 491st anniversary of the founding of Guayaquil, a city that inspires us every day through the strength of its people, its rich history, and its resilience.

At AUF Inc., we believe that meaningful progress is achieved by empowering communities, fostering sustainable development, and creating opportunities that help build a brighter future for everyone.

Today, we had the honor of walking through the beloved streets of Guasmo Sur during a civic parade, proudly joining the celebration of our cherished city of Guayaquil. Every step reflected our pride, our shared identity, and our commitment to the communities we serve.

We are proud to call Guayaquil home and to continue contributing to a more inclusive, compassionate, and thriving city.

As part of our health program, we shared a heartwarming day with our senior community members. We enjoyed traditional dances and shared experiences that strengthen our identity. These activities inspire us to keep promoting well-being and mutual care within the community.

🌿 Our garden will be much more than just a green space; it will be a place for connection, unity, and togetherness for our entire community. A special corner where children, young people, and adults can share meaningful moments, talk, relax, and continue building community together.
This space was built with the effort, love, and dedication of women, men, and children from our community, united by the dream of creating a place where everyone can come together, share, and feel at home. 💚
This garden is also dedicated with great love to Gary Smith, who was a fundamental pillar in helping build the dreams of many people in our community. His support, commitment, and love for the community left a mark that will always be remembered.
Very soon we will celebrate its official inauguration. We are already adding the final touches, and every day this beautiful space comes more to life, ready to welcome everyone. ✨

Nuestro jardín será mucho más que un espacio verde; será un lugar de encuentro, unión y convivencia para toda nuestra comunidad. Un rincón especial donde niños, jóvenes y adultos podamos compartir momentos significativos, conversar, descansar y seguir construyendo comunidad juntos.
Este espacio fue construido con el esfuerzo, amor y dedicación de mujeres, hombres y niños de nuestra comunidad, unidos por el sueño de crear un lugar donde todos podamos encontrarnos, compartir y sentirnos como en casa. 💚
Este jardín también está dedicado con mucho cariño a Gary Smith, quien fue un pilar fundamental en la construcción de los sueños de muchas personas de nuestra comunidad. Su apoyo, compromiso y amor por la comunidad dejaron una huella que siempre será recordada.
Muy pronto realizaremos su inauguración oficial. Ya estamos en los últimos detalles y cada día este hermoso espacio cobra más vida, listo para recibir a todos ustedes. ✨

We had a wonderful community celebration for Mother’s Day, where we danced, enjoyed good music, and most importantly, shared a beautiful time of togetherness. We put our worries aside and enjoyed meaningful moments as a community.

As we wrap up our vacation program, we celebrate a truly beautiful experience with our kids. During this time, they explored different activities, strengthened their academic skills, and developed their talents and abilities.

We are currently developing the “My Map, My Destination” workshop, working with a group of youth from our education program and AUF 💛

Through this space, we promote self-awareness, resilience, and life skills, strengthening their emotional well-being and supporting the construction of their life projects.
