অত্যন্ত দুঃখের সাথে জানাচ্ছি যে, খাদ্য অধিকার বাংলাদেশ-এর গাইবান্ধা জেলা কমিটির সাধারণ সম্পাদক ও সদস্য সংগঠন উদয়ন স্বাবলম্বী সংস্থা (ইউএসএস), গাইবান্ধা এর প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ও নির্বাহী পরিচালক শাহাদত হোসেন মন্ডল আর আমাদের মাঝে নেই। তিনি গতকাল ১৩ ডিসেম্বর ২০২৫ সন্ধ্যা ৬:০০ ঘটিকায় ইন্তেকাল করেছেন (ইন্না লিল্লাহি ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহী রাজিউন)।

দীর্ঘকাল ধরে তিনি অত্যন্ত নিষ্ঠা ও সততার সঙ্গে সমাজ উন্নয়ন ও মানবসেবায় আত্মনিবেদন করে গেছেন। তাঁর অসামান্য অবদান এবং সমৃদ্ধ কর্মজীবন সমাজকল্যাণমূলক কাজের অঙ্গনে চিরকাল এক অনুকরণীয় আদর্শ হয়ে থাকবে। নারী শিক্ষার ক্ষেত্রে তাঁর বিশেষ অবদান রয়েছে। তিনি তাঁর গ্রামে ১৯৯১ সালে উদয়ন বালিকা উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় এবং পরবর্তীতে উদয়ন মহিলা ডিগ্রী কলেজ প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছেন।

মৃত্যুকালে তিনি এক পুত্র ও এক কন্যাসহ অসংখ্য গুণগ্রাহী রেখে গিয়েছেন। তাঁর এই অকাল প্রয়াণে খাদ্য অধিকার বাংলাদেশ গভীরভাবে ব্যথিত।
