✨ Handmade with heart.

Paintings, pottery, handmade bags, aprons and natural cosmetics - all created by migrants participating in activities organized through IOM Algeria’s centers.

Hosted by the Royal Danish Embassy in Algiers, this special event offered an opportunity to showcase newly acquired skills, share creativity, and connect with diplomatic missions, UN agencies and partners.
Some participants even demonstrated their artisanal cream-making techniques live, giving guests a firsthand look at their work and learning journey.

A heartfelt thank you to all participants for sharing their talents, and to our partners for making these activities possible.
We also warmly thank the Government of Algeria for its continued support.

Peintures, poteries, sacs confectionnés à la main, tabliers et produits cosmétiques naturels : des migrants participant aux activités organisées dans les centres de l’OIM Algérie ont présenté leurs créations lors d’une exposition spéciale organisée à l’Ambassade du Royaume du Danemark à Alger.

Cette exposition a permis de mettre en lumière leur créativité, les compétences acquises au fil de leur parcours et les savoir-faire développés grâce aux activités proposées dans les centres.
Certains participants ont même réalisé des démonstrations en direct de fabrication artisanale de crèmes, offrant aux invités un aperçu concret de leur travail et de leur expérience.

Un grand merci à tous les participants ainsi qu’à nos partenaires pour avoir rendu cette initiative possible.
Nous remercions également chaleureusement le gouvernement algérien pour son soutien continu.

🇩🇿 L’Algérie a soumis son rapport volontaire dans le cadre du Pacte mondial pour des migrations sûres, ordonnées et régulières (PMM).
Présenté lors de l’International Migration Review Forum (IMRF) à New York, ce rapport met en lumière les progrès réalisés en matière de gouvernance migratoire en Algérie.
Il revient notamment sur :
▪️ Le renforcement des cadres juridiques et institutionnels
▪️ Les efforts continus en faveur de la protection des migrants et de l’accès aux services essentiels
▪️ L’intégration progressive de la migration dans les politiques de développement
▪️ L’importance de la coopération régionale et internationale
Le rapport souligne également certains défis persistants, notamment liés aux systèmes de données migratoires, à la coordination interinstitutionnelle et à la gestion des dynamiques migratoires mixtes.
À travers cette démarche, l’Algérie réaffirme son engagement en faveur d’une migration sûre, ordonnée et régulière, conformément aux objectifs du Pacte mondial.

🇩🇿 قدّمت الجزائر تقريرها الطوعي في إطار الاتفاق العالمي من أجل الهجرة الآمنة والمنظمة والنظامية.
وخلال المنتدى الدولي لاستعراض الهجرة المنعقد في نيويورك، استعرض التقرير التقدّم المُحرز في مجال حوكمة الهجرة في الجزائر.
ويُسلّط التقرير الضوء على:
▪️ تعزيز الأطر القانونية والمؤساستية
▪️ مواصلة الجهود الرامية إلى تعزيز حماية المهاجرين وضمان الوصول إلى الخدمات الأساسية
▪️ الإدماج التدريجي للهجرة في السياسات التنموية
▪️ أهمية التعاون الإقليمي والدولي
كما يبرز التقرير عدداً من التحديات المستمرة، لا سيما فيما يتعلق بأنظمة بيانات الهجرة، والتنسيق بين المؤسسات، وإدارة ديناميكيات الهجرة المختلطة.

🇩🇿 Algeria submitted its Voluntary Report under the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM).
Presented during the International Migration Review Forum (IMRF) in New York, the report highlights progress made in migration governance in Algeria.
It outlines, among others:
▪️ Strengthened legal and institutional frameworks
▪️ Continued efforts to enhance migrant protection and access to essential services
▪️ The gradual integration of migration into development policies
▪️ The importance of regional and international cooperation
The report also identifies ongoing challenges, including migration data systems, inter-institutional coordination, and the management of mixed migration dynamics.
Through this process, Algeria reaffirmed its commitment to safe, orderly and regular migration in line with the objectives of the Global Compact.

«Ça fait mal… Mais quand je dessine, je me sens un peu en paix.»

Au centre d’accueil et d’orientation de l’OIM Algérie, des activités créatives aident les enfants migrants à retrouver des moments d’apaisement, d’expression et de soulagement émotionnel après des expériences difficiles.

À travers des activités d’art-thérapie et de soutien psychosocial mises en œuvre dans le cadre de l’initiative NAMAD, des enfants comme Amina bénéficient d’espaces sûrs où ils peuvent exprimer leurs émotions, retrouver confiance en eux et renouer avec un sentiment d’espoir et de normalité.

Mise en œuvre par l’OIM Algérie avec le soutien de UK International Development, l’initiative NAMAD continue d’accompagner les migrants en situation de vulnérabilité à travers une assistance de protection, un soutien psychosocial et des parcours vers le rétablissement et la réintégration.

At IOM Algeria’s reception and orientation centre, creative activities are helping migrant children find moments of calm, expression, and emotional relief after difficult experiences.

Through art therapy and psychosocial support activities implemented under the NAMAD initiative, children like Amina are provided with safe spaces where they can express emotions, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with a sense of hope and normalcy.

Implemented by IOM Algeria with the support of UK International Development, the NAMAD initiative continues supporting migrants in vulnerable situations through protection assistance, psychosocial support, and pathways toward recovery and reintegration.
