Today we celebrate more than a historic date—we celebrate the courage, faith, and determination of a people who dreamed of freedom and fought to achieve it.
On February 27, 1844, the Dominican Republic was born, thanks to the bravery of men and women who believed in a sovereign, just, and hopeful nation.

Remembering this day is an act of education in identity, patriotism, and civic responsibility. It teaches new generations that freedom is preserved through respect, unity, and commitment.
May the example of our Founding Fathers inspire us to build, every day, a more united, honest, and opportunity-filled nation.

🇩🇴✨ Long live the Dominican Republic, today and always!

“True inclusion is not about opening the door, but about preparing the heart to welcome others.”

Today, those words come to life. This classroom was created as a place of light, love, and support, designed to welcome children with specific educational needs, providing them with the tools they need to discover their potential and walk their learning journey with joy, respect, and real opportunities.

The ceremony began with a prayer and the singing of the Dominican National Anthem. The welcoming remarks were delivered by our General Director, Evely Peniche, M.A., who highlighted the importance of this space as a firm commitment to inclusive education. We were honored by the presence and keynote address of Lic. Henry Rodríguez, Director of the Department of Special Education Resources of MINERD, as well as the motivational message offered by María Argentina Rojas, Regional Deputy Director, representing the Regional Director 11.

We deeply appreciate the words of Juan Dionicio Mezquita Batista, Director of Educational District 11-01, who recognized the joint efforts of educational authorities and the community, as well as the support of Raquel Ventura, District Coordinator of Special Education, with the collaboration of Mariel Faringthon, Deputy District Director.

This heartfelt event concluded with artistic performances by our students, reminding us that when education is rooted in love, talent flourishes and dreams find their stage. Today, we celebrate more than an inauguration—we celebrate a commitment to life, inclusion, and the future.

General Director: Evely Peniche, M.A.
