Yud Shvat | 10th of Shvat

Yud Shvat is a very special day in Chabad history.

On this day, the previous Rebbe of Chabad, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, passed away — a leader who devoted his entire life, with true self-sacrifice, to the Jewish people.
He stood strong in the most difficult times, dedicated himself to Jewish education, and worked tirelessly to ensure that Judaism would continue from generation to generation.

One year later, on this same day, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson — the seventh generation of Chabad leadership — accepted the leadership of the movement.

From that moment on, the Rebbe became a Rebbe for every Jew.
With deep care and responsibility for each person, he launched the global Shlichut movement — sending emissaries around the world to support, guide, and strengthen Jewish life everywhere.

To mark this day, it is customary to light a candle — a tradition observed on the yahrzeit of a righteous person — in honor of the Rebbe’s soul.
Lighting a candle is a simple act that symbolizes remembrance, connection, and continuing the light he brought into the world.

Yud Shvat invites each of us to add light:
through a good deed, a kind word, or a moment of reflection.

24th of Tevet – Remembering the Alter Rebbe

Today we mark the anniversary of the passing of Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, the founder of the Chabad movement and a leading Jewish thinker.

His teachings brought a new approach to spirituality — one that emphasizes clarity, inner growth, and the ability of every person to bring meaning and light into daily life. He believed that faith is not meant to stay abstract, but should inspire thoughtful action, kindness, and a deeper sense of purpose.

Through his wisdom, the Alter Rebbe helped make spiritual ideas accessible and relevant, encouraging people to live with intention, understanding, and compassion.

✨ May his legacy continue to inspire goodness and light in the world.
May his memory be a blessing.

Today, the 3rd of Tammuz
Today marks the yahrzeit of the *Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson,* of righteous memory.
The Rebbe was a visionary leader who inspired millions with his message of love, hope, and purpose. His teachings continue to guide us to add goodness and light to the world.

Let’s honor his legacy by performing an extra mitzvah today — a good deed, a prayer, or an act of kindness — to bring more light into the world, just as the Rebbe taught.

This Week’s Torah Portion – Korach
Korach claimed: “The entire congregation is holy!” and therefore, leadership is unnecessary. Although it sounded idealistic, his words stemmed from pride and a lack of understanding: a true leader does not limit the holiness of the people but elevates it, awakening each person’s potential.

3rd of Tammuz – The Rebbe’s Yahrzeit
The Rebbe was a shining example of a leader who dedicated his life to uplifting and strengthening every Jew. He taught that true leadership is not about standing above others, but about helping each person grow.

On this day, let us commit to following his path: to be leaders in our homes and communities, and to bring more light into the world.

May we soon merit to see the Rebbe’s vision fulfilled with the coming of Moshiach.

🕯️ A Shabbat of Light and Strength | "Like a Lion, He Rises" - "עם כלביא יקום" 🦁

As IDF soldiers courageously defend our people,
each one of us—men and women alike—can stand strong in our way:
Not with weapons, but with light. With mitzvot. With faith.

✨ The Rebbe taught: Spiritual acts affect the physical world.
One more Shabbat candle, one more prayer, one more good deed—
can turn darkness into light and bring protection to all of Israel.

"Like a lion, he rises"—with strength on the battlefield and power in the soul.
Now is the time to rise, each in our own way:

🕯️ Women – light Shabbat candles on time
📖 Men – attend shul, learn Torah
🙏 All of us – pray for our brothers and sisters in Israel

May this Shabbat bring peace, protection, and revealed blessings.
